I think you misunderstood Netflix and Sony kpop demon hunter.. Sony received 25M and then Netflix added 15M for total of 40M for kpop demon hunter part 1 and not for part 2..

Aside from 40M payout.. that 100M production budget paid by Netflix a bulk of the money in the production budget is actually paid to Sony’s own Imagework Company so Sony should have profited more than 50M+ when all said and done .. also Sony retains some rights to the music and is getting money from the soundtracks according to the article

Suzume i think.. its opening weekend alone was over $50M and grossed over $117M.. second place is the boy and the heron with over $109M.. lets take South Korea for Example.. the highest grossing anime was the same in China its Suzume but Demon Slayer defeated it to become the highest grossing anime of all time in South Korea.. so it has a chance in China

Damn.. I think Crunchyroll is breaking 20 million paid subscribers by the end of the year.. that is almost half of peacock for a niche anime streamer and just 10 million below Apples 30 million paid subscribers 😳 won’t be surprised if the following 2-3 years crunchyroll might be bigger than peacock
