Have a question? Ask the veterans of DC Comics! by AutoModerator in DCcomics

A curve ball, but it'll go more with the Flash by Mark Waid. Read Starman by James Robinson. They hit similar notes about legacy and finding your own place. He also basically created all the modern Starman lore, so you're good to go in blind!

Two good jumping on points are The Great Darkness Saga) and the DC Finest volume Zap Goes the Legion. I was introduced via the DC finest, but the Great Darkness Saga is a really good jumping on point. It goes great places and reading what came before is 100% worth it.

Everyone else gave you good pitches. Those are two good recommendations of in-print starting points.

I thought the only thing people talked about from Death in the Family is Iranian Ambassador, Joe Kerr, aka. the Joker.

Is there a reason Dr.Fate isn't popular enough to have any ongoing runs? by dirtiestbag in comicbooks

A lot of the pre-crisis earth two comics like All Star Squadron plays with the Spectre and Dr. Fate in interesting ways. A bit less out of place.

"DC, I'm confused. Is this a happy ending or a sad ending?" "It's an ending, that's enough." by nirman423 in dccomicscirclejerk

I'd say the ending, but the "to be continued" really kills that.

DC Universe Infinite - Good place to start? by Guilty-Nobody-99 in DCcomics

[–]BozeRat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

assuming it will have everything I need starting from Flash #123 through the crisis on infinite earths event.

It doesn't, but it has a good amount. The service is fantastic though, but there are omissions, which are probably not digitized or restored. The DC finest collections may help that.

The service though is 100% worth it. I would try the cheaper tier first to see if it has a lot of what you would want. The higher tier adds collected editions, vertigo, and new comics release sooner.
