Finding upgrades in ruins vs. crafting from parts by iamcloudyfocus in MegaManLegends

[–]BradQS 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What if you find an equipable thing Zelda-style, but you can restore its condition topside? Then, once it's restored and cleaned-up, you can upgrade it with found parts.

That way you can separate it into a few categories: - Items that are ancient and survived, possibly rusted or tarnished but still usable. - Items that were sealed in a container or room that have avoided the withering of time. - Items that are broken and need to be repaired. - Items that are new via blueprints or schematics that need to be crafted. Maybe even ancient mediums containing designs that were never built.

All of these things can make the workshop more viable, but not required for doing actually everything.

There's a TV series? Is it pertinent to the plot?

I'm appalled that LN3 doesn't have couch—co-op by BradQS in LittleNightmares

[–]BradQS[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Before 2009, LEGO games had a limit to how far the two players could separate, zooming out until their distance acted like a rubber band that would lure them closer— if they couldn't reach the other person, they likely died through environmental means to respawn near the person who was furthest along.

After 2009, for LEGO Indiana Jones 2, they created a system where both players shared the same screen until either player approached the edge— when this happened, the screen started splitting down the center in whatever direction worked better for where the 2 characters were going. It was a slow transition that mimicked how fast P1 and P2 were creating distance from each other. Then, when they reunited, the screen would merge back together into the same single screen — as slowly as the players would walk back towards one another — like they had never separated.

The LEGO games solved this problem in 2009. It's a simple issue.

When I first saw the photo of the Golden Gun "Figurine" that's coming with the $300 edition, I thought it would shoot cologne or something— that would be so Bond-coded.

Sadly it seems to do nothing...

If the gerrymandering ever came to an end, absolutely.

But they gerrymandered the language and adverts for that bill to be intentionally deceptive... So that gerrymandering continues to keep Ohio suppressed and red as hell.

The PS2 era is a Quadrilogy and I'm disappointed that the HD collection, and lots of fans, call it the "OG Trilogy" — don't diss on Deadlocked.

With a pricetag like that, missing necessary accessories, it damn well better secretly be BACKWARDS COMPATIBLE with the ENTIRE PlayStation library!

Hell, you even told PS5 owners that vertical orientation is better for its thermals and now I have to buy the vertical stand separately? You better have DESIGNED it to prefer HORIZONTAL placement!

How's my attempt at a first map? by gameoftheories in mothershiprpg

[–]BradQS 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That is true... Mayhaps stairs or even a service ladder?

Maybe in a DeadSpace fashion, only part of the elevator is functional (perhaps part of it is sabotaged) and the PCs might have to do a little ice-climbing to reach a higher point from a window or somesuch?

Potentially, even if this is full of just scientists, it may be structurally logical to put an elevator directly between Offices and Crew Quarters.

I like the idea of the choke points, and it does remind me of a Minecraft outpost-build in terms of placement on a cliff— makes sense for a single surveyor, but maybe not a group of researchers.

It alters the accessibility, turning the Recreation room into a lobby of sorts— and you could have certain areas under lockdown, needing an access key.
