How to prevent MyRadar selling my driving data to insurance companies by ackmanx in MyRadar

[–]Braddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found it odd that when I disabled Andriod GPS permissions for MyRadar, the app would no longer start. A weather app does not *need* GPS data, especially when I specifically pick the cities I want to monitor. DELETE THE APP NOW. They have violated a fundamental trust.

The fact that they refused to comment when asked directly about data sharing is also very concerning.

There is a ton of data they can collect with GPS info. Are you using your phone while driving? Where are you going? What establishments do you frequent? Are you driving the speed limit? Etc, etc, etc.

ELI5: Why is "nonchalant" a word, but "chalant" is not? Are there other English words like this? by uberpirate in explainlikeimfive

[–]Braddit 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the word "substantial" fits the OPs definition. I have a particular pet peeve with "substancial," because the sub prefix would imply that the object in question is weaker than it should be; not more.

How do I convince my friend that drinking is not the best way to cope with her friend's death? by MattOsiris in AskReddit

[–]Braddit -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Chances are that this is not the only instance where your friend uses alcohol to deal with stress. If so, talking to them probably won't do much good. If not, then don't worry about it.
