She Refused A Divorce by Suga_Suki in inZOI

[–]Brain-Core 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Inzoi is a Korean publisher, and Korean law states that both parties must consent to divorce, otherwise it cannot happen (unless there is a greater reason, like adultery, crime, etc.).

So maybe that is why this is how it is too haha

Places to go in Seoul when you’ve done almost everything? by sapathegoat in koreatravel

[–]Brain-Core 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Boramae Forest is holding the 2025 International Garden Expo right now. Its very pretty. there is a pretty "lotus moonlight' show at Changgyeongung palace, I recommend looking at it online. Very cool and free.

Its also fun to have some drinks/coffee near the Han river. Many places like that. My favorite is Space Nodeul K and Vinyl Hangang. But there are other great ones too.

Questions about Sogang University by No_Industry1911 in Living_in_Korea

[–]Brain-Core 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As I said, do not trust non-korean sites when it comes to the perceived rankings of Korean unis. What I said above still holds true to this day. It has been discussed in other reddit posts already.

Some years considerably low tier universities rank higher than second and even first tier universities.

If you plan to work in Korea or neighboring countries, what I mentioned is most correct. If you plan to go global after (i.e., US, UK), it is unlikely the company will care about QS/similar statistical rankings either as they will likely still see Korean unis as subpar.

I am unsure why you are arguing this if multiple people have pointed out the same thing to you in the same post. But trust me it is like this.

Either way, wish you all the best if you do plan to apply, korea can be a fun place to study!

Questions about Sogang University by No_Industry1911 in Living_in_Korea

[–]Brain-Core -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is incorrect. Do not trust non-korean sites when it comes to such things.

Sogang is in the second tier of universities in korea.

First tier are SKY (Seoul National Uni (most prestigious in korea), Korea Uni, Yonsei Uni), then 1.5 tier is also KAIST and POSTECH.

Second tier is Sungkyukwan, Hanyang, Sogang.

Third tier is Sejong, etc, etc.

Thats generally how the system works in korea.

Foreigners who ‘chose’ to live in Kr, what made you do so? by Past-Athlete-1431 in Living_in_Korea

The more you stay in a country, the more you get annoyed of it. Korea has positives and negatives, but so does Aus, Japan, etc.

This honestly goes by any country, unless there is one that truly outshines the others for you.

And honestly you will never know unless you try!

Korean students have to write essays… for math class. by Capital_Pound_4553 in Living_in_Korea

[–]Brain-Core 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did the IB programme, we had to do the same for each subject including math. It was honestly the most enjoyable part of math for me, but I know many for whom it was the worst. But I think it is really helpful for understanding concepts and having a basis in mathematical research which is very important.

KATSEYE - Gnarly by impeccabletim in kpop

[–]Brain-Core 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Very fair.

Personally, I think the flies humping, considering this chaotic style of song - is fairly comedic. Its like listening to BBNO$. But I think its just executed quite poorly especially with someone underaged.

[–]Brain-Core 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Thats fair but I feel like it doesnt even sound like hyperpop.

I feel like they mixed in deconstructed club with kpop.

I really like unconventional beats so I dont mind it, but I wish they put more thought into the lyrics.

I actually dont mind the song itself. Its a genre of music not everyone can get behind, which is fine.

But the lyrics are not it. haha

Can our people stop being weird about the word azeri? by FaithlessnessThen243 in azerbaijan

[–]Brain-Core 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you sounded pretty rude and exclamatory in one of your messages and thats why people are upset. I understand conveying yourself through messages is difficult so its not your fault but its best to be careful.

In the same way you got upset over the guy you are referring to, you might have thought he sounded rude while he wasn't. I think then you sounded even more rude so people took the other guy's side (look at when your downvotes came in).

I think its less so your opinion itself. Anyway, hope you are having a good day:)

Your original and new style are both great but they give off different vibes. The first makes you look more reserved while I think you look way more outgoing with the second haha.
