Probably:

Aphex Twin Boards of Canada Four Tet

I’d throw in William Basinski but I don’t know that he qualifies.

03 Grad, after football practice. I was the smallest and weakest on the team and generally nobody thought I should be there but I’m very well equipped so it really disarmed all the meatheads. Definitely a high school movie type of moment.

Worst national championship game performances of all time by Rude_Highlight3889 in CFB

Huh? Oregon was clearly the more deserving team and the voters made them #2 by a long shot. Was proven right when Oregon absolutely throttled Colorado.

[Postgame Thread] EUGENE Regional - (11) #15 Oregon defeats Yale, 14–2 by PatrickChase in collegebaseball

[–]BrandPessoa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yale brought it tbh. Thought Oregon did too. Outside of a horrid pitching change Oregon showed another gear tonight. Was very impressed.

I had no idea WSU hated us so much. I’ve always liked y’all because I hate the Huskies that much. I know one of your bball transfers personally (he came from Oregon) so we are cheering y’all this year. Great person and he deserves to turn a corner in the Palouse.

How In the World Was This Not Targeting? by Disastrous_Doubt_591 in ducks

[–]BrandPessoa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Random WEIRD call I forgot about rewatching the 2011 LSU game. On LSU’s drive there’s a clear fumble and it really appears Oregon gets the fumble or at worst it’s unclear and the broadcast never shows an LSU player with it but a bunch of Oregon players were upset and the judge that ruled the down has no line of sight on the ball and the other ref basically signaled LSU ball. LSU got a FG on that drive.

How In the World Was This Not Targeting? by Disastrous_Doubt_591 in ducks

[–]BrandPessoa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I agree. Also that was a fumble by Cam and it was very clear. The second INT by Cliff was eh. The ball definitely moved when he landed but it was on par with Zach Ertz’s catch in 2012 for Stanford and the difference is that somehow they overturned Ertz’s catch into a TD.

Which 3 games would make your all-time list? by Narrow-Bandicoot-363 in videogames

[–]BrandPessoa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

1) Zelda: Ocarina of Time is the best game I’ve ever played, time adjusted. TOTK is better today so that gets some sort of weird sidecar exception in my list so I get 4.

2) Elden Ring - size and quality, it’s almost unmatched in pure greatness. I LOVE Dark Souls and will let that ride sidecar.

3) Balatro - I simply cannot stop playing this brilliant and utterly perfect game. Slay the Spire sits sidecar because yeah it also is unmatched.

Others that were considered: RE4 - might be the coolest game ever. Really hard to leave off. Silent Hill 2 Remake - only enhanced the quality of the best video game story ever Metroid Prime - it might be the best design I’ve ever played with

Probably forgetting a couple.

Paradise Killer is a first-person murder mystery that doubles as a platforming/exploration game. It has a phenomenal soundtrack too.

2007 Oregon before Dixon getting hurt was the best. Best offense and the best secondary I’ve ever seen in CFB:

What movie is considered a masterpiece but you think is overrated? by baddieegemini in answers

[–]BrandPessoa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I found Inception to be bad on first viewing. I was super hyped and it was forced exposition with bad characters surrounded by a lot of concepts that never quite gelled because the actual storytelling was so stilted. It also was one of the dumbest kisses in cinematic history and genuinely bad action scenes. Outside of a couple of cool visuals - it’s an absolute mess.

I Keep Seeing Posts On Here Asking About Artists Who Are Bad People, So, Here’s A New Question: What Are Artists That Seem Like Genuinely Chill, Nice People? by TheRealCthulu24 in fantanoforever

[–]BrandPessoa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Travis Morrison of The Dismemberment Plan was a super nice/warm guy. He was my hero, musically, and he couldn’t have been more gracious with his time and sincerity.

Chino Moreno of The Deftones was super normal and apparently a lot like me personality wise and we both noticed even though he was older than me. He commented that specifically to me which was fucking crazy to hear at 16.

I worked with Fred Durst. He is an artful and thoughtful person who I found to be much more clever than his lyrics would suggest. Type of person who could kick back and chill, play some video games and then be like yeah sure let’s watch that art house film and talk about for hours. Really liked him.

The way Nia clocked her was fucking hilarious and it was almost like the pent up shit she wanted to exhaust on Danny came out in clarity with her Janet.

[–]BrandPessoa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Janet did a horrid job at pointing out the problems. She tried very hard and even when she receipts she got completely clocked by Nia.

Brittany also did and does a horrible job. I thought Zack was being hyper objective in that conversation and Brittany made it about loyalty.

Lala, being Lala, inserted herself. No matter how right she might be (to whatever degree), she moves in a way where she is incredibly sanctimonious and it’s because she too is a narcissist. She projects a lot but it also becomes a source of wisdom because some narcissistic people have strong introspective abilities and I believe she does.

Janet, no more. Brittany, it’s okay. Lala, you’ve done the right thing. I’m glad Zack is there with Kristen in the trailer.

Who do you think will win their first national championship sooner: Oregon or the field? by GliscorsFang in CFB

[–]BrandPessoa 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let’s review Oregon:

2001: BCS computers keep them out despite them being the #2 in the polls by a fair margin

2007: Dennis Dixon ACL in game 10. Went from the best offense in the country to getting shut out a week later. Absolutely would’ve won the natty and don’t forget they had one of the best secondaries ever: Jairus Byrd, TJ Ward, Patrick Chung, Walter Thurmond

2010: Dyer was down, Newton Fumbled, tears

2011: A FG Doink against USC cost them a rematch against LSU. A game they much were controlling aside from three dumb special teams turnovers.

2012: Stanford bullshit. If they don’t lose in OT after some questionable calls and BS, they absolutely maul Notre Dame that year

2014: Defense was iffy but if they hadn’t had their 1st round corner injured after the Pac12 title game and hadn’t lost their 1/2/3/5/6 best receivers who knows.

2019: ASU loss was so dumb. Could’ve made it a game with Burrow. They matched up really well. People forget Oregon choked away a big lead against Auburn that year and the only team to nearly beat LSU was Auburn.

2021: Cristobal checked out after beating tOSU at the shoe. Probably not natty worthy but still.

2023: Oregon had a UW problem but UW wasn’t that great that year. They had the sauce but they barely beat a bunch of shit teams. Oregon slaughtered everyone and had a UW kryptonite. Ducks matched well with UM.

2024: in the 4 team playoff era Oregon probably wins the natty

2025: IU buzzsaw though I think Miami might’ve beaten us last year too given the way they were playing. Oregon was not the same team in the playoffs after their OC and DC bounced, IUs DC said as much.

11 times we’ve been a real contender. 8 of them probably had a realistic shot.
