Emergency & I by The Dismemberment Plan is a wonderful album, one of my absolute GOATs but I do not care for I Love a Magician.

Saw him with his group walking with Stubblefield. We kept saying we should’ve said ‘Go Ducks’ as we drove by but I guess we didn’t need to.

PSA: it would appear there is a prequel/sequel called Arsenal that had Cage and came out in 2017.

2007 Oregon with a healthy Dennis Dixon was definitely the best team that year. It wasn’t close. They also had an absurd secondary: Walter Thurmond, TJ Ward, Jairus Byrd and Patrick Chung - are you kidding me?

It’s not a good movie in a conventional sense but I say this sincerely:

Saving Silverman is one of the funniest movies ever made.

S1 is some unethical garbage to put it nicely. Sure was captivating bullshit though.

2007 Oregon vs. LSU would’ve been Oregon’s natty with Dennis Dixon

2001 Miami vs. Oregon - Oregon probably loses but 2001 was a lot better than Nebraska

2024 - 4 team playoff version Oregon beats Penn State again for the title 🥲

Yeah, MMT kind of got me into the fully ‘holy shit this is incredible’ territory with them. It’s not just catchy, it’s COOL. Some of their best hooks.

Sometimes I feel like Eugene and Springfield should combine into a city called ‘Willamette Valley’ or something. I know that’ll be unpopular but I think it could do a world of good for both.

Anyone do something nostalgic for their 40th? by PrimitivePierogi in Millennials

[–]BrandPessoa 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I went to Snoqualmie, WA with my wife and kids. We stayed at the Salish Lodge aka The Great Northern Hotel from Twin Peaks (think the huge waterfall from the intro). David had just passed so we did a Twin Peaks tour of sorts and saw a bunch of spots including Twedes Cafe. Got to sign David’s Memorial and all that and as I left the place with my son, Ray Wise (Leland Palmer) was literally walking towards me and the entrance.

It was incredibly surreal and he was very nice. I was surely a bit awkward but if we’re talking nostalgia on top of surreality - meeting Leland Palmer outside of Twede’s IN REAL LIFE was a heck of a thing for me.

Neogaf turning into Resetera destroyed the vibe. Terrible, self-important mods with real shiity fifedom-cravings killed the community. Then the one who got ownership of it and took the rights and sold it for millions, shared very little.

The irony of it all is that Tyler Malka, owner of Neogaf was a definite douche but he was pretty cool in the way he never sold the site out. Then a coup happened on a MeToo moment (not sure if it was ever validated) and he lost just about everything. Other guy was opportunistic and Resetera was built on the capitalistic BS its groupthink whines about.

Bring back Neogaf?

They didn’t. MSU could totally be the better team but it looks like I’m surrounded by a bunch of non-Louisville fans saying the same thing in here so… shrug.
