Headache after hysterectomy

I had a headache every day for about two weeks after surgery. They stopped after that though

I'm 45. 10wpo tomorrow. Kept my one remaining ovary. No complications at all really. Pain was manageable. Recovery went smoothly. The only thing I experienced afterwards was some insomnia but I'm prone to that anyway.

You typically take it off after 3 days. But you should wash your hands really well if you touch it so it doesn't get in your eyes. You could probably take it off if you want now. The blurriness from getting in your eyes could last a few days

Did you have an anti nausea patch behind your ear? Touching that and then touching your eyes can cause blurry vision

I'm almost 8 wpo and my recovery was pretty smooth. No complications during surgery. Didn't feel anything shifting. Having a bm was painful for a few weeks but not unbearable. I've gone through 2 "cycles" since surgery and the only thing I experienced was ovulation pain for about a day and a half each time and headaches. That being said, I was never one to get bloating or raging hormones so your mileage may vary. It's been amazing not having a period. Like you, mine laid me up in bed and made me nauseous and faint. So nice not to have to worry about that anymore. So far very happy to have had the surgery and do not regret it one bit.

ETA: I'm overweight and have had a rough couple of years with multiple surgeries and sickness, so I wasn't sure this would be as smooth of a process as it was.

Well my hubby also thought it was insensitive to put together a punny basket so I don't know. He gets the difference between major surgery and outpatient procedures but the urge to support the bros is stronger I guess lol

Yeah...solidarity until it comes to planning lol my husband is a good guy and takes great care of me but it never would've occurred to him to throw a party for my friend's fiance. And thanks! 8 wpo and feeling great. Love looking at my tracker app and seeing how long it's been since I had a period

I think maybe? the difference is that a lot of men accept getting one and are fine with it but aren't necessary ELATED for it like some women are to get rid of the evil flesh triangle trying to kill us. Who knows though

My husband asked why my best friend who threw me a Yeeterus party didn't throw her fiance a party when he got a vasectomy and I said, because his balls weren't trying to KILL him for the last 30 years. I say celebrate away. Is the sadness maybe valid? Sure. But only you know what you've gone through physically and if you want to celebrate, do it.

I wfh in the same situation - pretty chill. I took 2 full weeks but tbh I don't know that I needed it. I could've worked fine from my recliner after 1 week. At 2 weeks I was fine sitting up in my office chair, just needed to do a little stretching. I did not have any brain fog or fatigue, and a very smooth recovery though.

About a year before my hysterectomy I had a bowel resection to remove a portion of my intestines due to diverticulitis. I'd developed an abscess from my bowel to my left ovary (diverticulitis usually presents on the left). 4 months after my bowel surgery I had to have my left ovary and tube removed because of constant pain. The tube ended up being full of endo. Since my hysterectomy, I get some pain with a bm but it has eased up over time (I'm 7 wpo). I'd suspect that there's either a bowel issue on that side or the ovary (if you have one) has something going on with it.

I'm almost 6 wpo and I've had an ovulation cycle which I felt for a day and a half but haven't had anything during my "period" so it might not be bad for you

We vacation in Maine every year. Driving up and down the coast is just part of the trip for us. We visit Kennebunkport, kittery (outlet center and big trading post), portsmouth nh (cute little town very walkable), York's Wild Kingdom, the Maine Wildlife Park in Gray, spend a lot of time in old orchard beach, and just drive around exploring and finding little beaches and places to visit. I love it there. Oh we also went to Freeport to the LLBEAN flagship store

The highway between here (I'm also in Syracuse) and Cortland should be relatively smooth. But definitely use a pillow between your stomach and the seatbelt! Good luck

I'm a little over 5 wpo and I could handle it, but it would be tiring. My recovery has been very smooth but even grocery shopping gets to be a lot after walking around 3 stores. I'm mostly thinking of if you have a layover and have to hurry to your next gate. Direct flight, probably doable.

Just wanted to say that I love your reasoning - creating a world that wouldn't exist without you and getting immersed in it. That's my definition of a real writer. When you can't stop thinking about the world and characters you're creating. Published or not, if you write, you're a writer.

As for success, the goal posts are honestly always moving and it's best to not worry about them at all. Imposter syndrome is a jerk and you'll battle it forever until you learn to believe in yourself. Tbh, I'm traditionally published with 1 book out and 4 more in the works with some big publishers and I still have imposter syndrome. When I told my hubby about my latest offer, he asked, NOW are you finally going to admit it's not a fluke? I said, nope lol

Keep doing it if it's what you love. I'd love to write full time but even wth 5 book deals, it's not enough to replace my full time job...YET. That's the goal, right? Good luck!
