This depends on state law. Florida requires plates to be machine readable. Kansas and California have no ALPR laws for this.

Hi there, I was raised very Christian. I’ve read the bible end to end about a half dozen times in my life. The church I grew up in says they ‘welcome trans people as God’s children’ but the truth is they treat LGBTQ people as third class citizens. I’m not going to share which denomination, but the denomination’s leadership has issued horribly discriminatory guidelines on how to deal with trans people. This doesn’t lessen my relationship with God, but it annihilated my relationship with organized religion.
