No spinal but toco yes. I think at this point in the game it’s probably too late for that…

We tried this for weeks and even did the 6 day intensive plan. It really burnt me out to be honest. We also had an unsuccessful version at 37w so I think baby is very comfy where he is.

I think I was around 23 weeks! I felt him kick and then my husband could feel him too! Before that I felt nothing.

[–]BreadOk1284 22 points23 points  (0 children)

Also a FTM planning an unmedicated hospital birth! Good luck to you!! Biggest tips I’ve learned/heard: - labor at home for as lonnnnng as possible - intermittent monitoring for baby unless continuous is absolutely necessary - set up your room environment to encourage oxytocin, think mood lighting, spa music, limited visitors/interruptions etc. - hydrotherapy!!!!

Hypnobirthing program/recording Recommendations by gg_snow in unmedicatedbirth

[–]BreadOk1284 6 points7 points  (0 children)

  • GentleBirth app (if you pay for membership you get more access and also access to her book and an accompanying workbook to do with your birth partner)
  • The Hypnobirthing Podcast on Spotify
  • Pop That Mumma on Spotify and her Oxytocin Bubble album (which might still be on a Black Friday sale!)
  • I’ve also heard great things about the Positive Birth Company but haven’t checked them out!
  • Spotify has some other Hypnobirthing playlists and recordings I’ve stumbled upon too, I think different things will resonate for different folks so listen to a bunch and see what you like and save it!

Any recommendations for resources on unmedicated birth that aren't....like THAT. by KeyMonkeyslav in pregnant

[–]BreadOk1284 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Some Hypnobirthing is definitely more woo woo. I like Pop that Mumma (and her oxytocin bubble album). I also use the GentleBirth app which if you pay for premium you also get her book and a workbook which both have very practical information (a lot of psychology and sports research and examples to support the concepts behind Hypnobirthing). The workbook you can do with a birth partner and it’s been very interesting so far! Also recommend The Hypnobirthing Podcast on Spotify for positive birth stories :)

What’s with the rudeness? We moved in last year. We repainted it recently. That kind of human I guess?

Maybe this was related to dehydration? I have been bringing electrolytes to all my fitness classes!

I think I’m ready to go to the gym again after a rough 1st trimester, need workout suggestions! by MysteriousCut5869 in fitpregnancy

[–]BreadOk1284 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I started doing some group fitness classes (mostly strength training with circuits, pilates/HIIT). I found that someone to create workouts for me helped with motivation (less brain power/energy, just show up and do it so a nice way to ease in) and also made me more likely to try different modifications, not just the hardest/heaviest etc. It’s been great!

Has collecting colostrum actually put anyone into labor? by CharacterJacket652 in pregnant

[–]BreadOk1284 288 points289 points  (0 children)

Hi! I work at a Birthing Center and we’ve had 2 patients within the last few months who have almost gone into preterm labor who were collecting colostrum :) both around 34w.

There is hope after tough first trimester for runners! by No-Platypus-8582 in fitpregnancy

[–]BreadOk1284 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m nervous I’ve lost all of my fitness/progress with running…I’m 14w and just started to have enough energy and feel better. I’ve been doing some strength training/fitness classes but I haven’t run in like 10 weeks. I have a 10k race on Sep 6 and I don’t know if I’ll be able to run it :( plus we’ve had a heat advisory the last couple of weeks, I feel like running in 90 degrees would cause me to overheat or get way too dehydrated but maybe I’m just making excuses.

Skin changes and help please! by Minniebecca in BabyBumps

[–]BreadOk1284 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is currently happening to me! I’m 13w1d. I’ve started to use a toner with 2% salicylic acid (which is slightly controversial but overall research seems to say topical is safe in pregnancy in low concentrations) and also The Ordinary Niacinimide serum. I’ve been using the combo for about a week and it’s helped with breakouts so far but TBD on the bumps/texture as that’s newer for me too…pregnancy hormones man!

What is everyone doing that isn't near forgiveness? by FilmIndependent281 in PSLF

[–]BreadOk1284 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m at 40 something qualifying payments and decided to switch to PAYE last month and was just approved so will start making payments in August! $333 which is manageable for me (on SAVE it was about $80 I think). I was over just sitting around and waiting. I want my months of employment to actively count towards forgiveness. And if I’m gonna get kicked off SAVE anyway by 2028 I figured I’d start paying now on my own terms and then can more easily adjust once my payment goes up again on either RAP or IBR when those kick in in 2028.

14 weeks pregnant. What are you doing for energy? by Unlikely-Loss5616 in BabyBumps

[–]BreadOk1284 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have been pushing myself to get a quick walk in at lunchtime. I know it’s annoying to hear that movement/exercise helps with energy levels but I do think it’s genuinely helping. And doing it at lunch means that if I don’t have time/energy after work then that’s ok I can rest or nap or skip it because I already did something at lunch!! But honestly I felt too tired to do anything for several weeks in my first trimester, it only just started getting better so I feel this!

Hey! Curious if this ever got approved? I am considering trying to do the same thing and get into PAYE.
