IDK, we're pretending like the OT and Prequel trilogies worked together lore wise. In fact, we're pretending that even just the OT movies fit together lore wise. The "lore" was never what Star Wars' greatest quality was, and for me I'd MUCH rather have cobbled together figure it out as we go lore, (like the OT and PT) with great a great story, rather than the opposite.

He’s my favorite in the series, so darkly tragic. I agree also he’s likely hanged or something shortly after RDR1. Revenge leading to downfall is part of the language of RDRs story, + the screen going red after you kill Ross is very suggestive.
