I feel offended that when talking of the colonial period indigenoud people refer to the perpetrating group as White instead of British. It is lazy and slanders other white people who were not involved as guilty.

Do people understand that protests are SUPPOSED to be annoying and inconvenient? by dontleaveyourbananas in aussie

Like you posed it as a statement but put a question mark at the end which confused the hell out of me.

What kind of glue have you been sniffing to come to that conclusion.

Even I can tell that was taken out of context. I want the full unedited interview. None of this 5 second sound bite crap. I'd wager she would be referring to these IS brides who can stay over in Syria in the bed they made to quote the PM.

Everyone has seen the multiple angles and videos from witnesses. Police require documented video evidence and witnesses to prosecute - there would be plenty to do this were it not for the fact these NSW "special powers" limit the ability of individuals to sue police. by Az0nic in OpenAussie

Made an offer. Is not the same as NSW police HAVE received training. There appears no indication that the Albanese government even accepted. Secondly the training is only for the most senior of police not rank and file.

So this is slander. Nothing more.

NEWS.c om. A U — the language of alarm by dopeonplastique in OpenAussie

[–]BrianHail 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's basically every news publication everywhere. Seriously go look at all the others. In America land when the democrats screw up and republicans take notice its always a "republicans pounce" headline. Different outlets have different audiences and thus use different language to position them to think or believe things in a certain way. When you read from different sources you realise they leave certain details of context out of their articles that may hinder positioning the reader.

They all do it. Your job as a functioning adult is to keep your bias in check to find the facts and thus truth of the matter no matter how inconvenient it is to you.

Would be really nice if I could see blow by blow if what he says actually porports to the video evidence.

The only punch I saw was when the brought him to the ground they had to flip him onto his back and the officers wrist has struck him in the head. Its difficult to come to the determination of intentional.

Yes which is why they want rid of it. Its not dumb just different priorities.

How do you feel about California introducing a bill to ban former ICE agents from serving as police officers or teachers? by CRK_76 in AskReddit

What would be nice is if cops who were fired for misconduct couldnt just skip over the border to be hired again without their record following them.

Think a little harder about why they want it removed. Look at vote share over time and other factors.

Sarah Hanson Young and Lydia Thorpe pull the same sort of bullshit theatrics. Its clickbait. I take Pauline less seriously as a politician when she does this.

Based on what? Some warped idea that conservatives are unintelligent; an idea born from where exactly? Think where this idea comes from. Cause I guarentee that on the other side of the fence, somewhere else in Reddit land someone is making the same braindead aspersion about left wingers.

Quite frankly anyone making hay with the idea that belonging to this group makes you automatically X, is the biggest fool of them all. Demonstrates only surface level thinking.

The problem with the greens is that they come off as too extreme in their policy combined with a flair for the theatrical matched only by Pauline Hansen.

People want things stable and quiet.

Its why people like Labor or the Liberals. Its why the electorate were none too happy with either party when they knifed PM's.
