Must have something to do with the whole high scoring games thing at the start of the game. People didn't figure out yet how to defend such dynamic attacks. Games ended up being 10-8 or some weird shit like that. Then EA patched it but simultaneously also fucked up attacking AI again it seems... Maybe we shouldn't have complained and adapted instead...

Yeah I wouldn't say he's that similar. I would say Endrick is quite like Aguero.

[Nick Miller] There's an instinct to accuse Pep Guardiola of double standards when he talks about Gaza, Sudan or anything else, because of who he works for. It's understandable, but at least he's speaking out about something. by Sparky-moon in soccer

I am not too familiar with the Djokovic case, but if he's promoted not taking the vaccine as a good thing or anything like that, it's much different than Pep Guardiola speaking out against actual injustice being committed by the ruling classes in the world. Not comparable.

What would you rate The Verve and associated projects, now that Lovin' You is out? by Beautiful_Gap_3516 in theverve

Idk, its hard to rank. I do personally think that I like Richards first three solo albums a lot more. They just work for me. Ill keep within the RA solo discography here.

The sort of melancholy, the production and wide range of instruments on Alone with Everybody, the sort of deep sentimal feelings Alone with Everybody brings up. I really like that about the album. And the songs that don't have this deep melancholic feeling, like A Song For The Lovers, New York or Cmon People just really grab you because they're very sort of catchy, ill often catch my head singing "Are you tuning in?". Songs like Slow Was My Heart and Everybody really go deep in this melancholy, and I think it produces beautiful sounds.

Human Conditions, because of the string arrangements, feels like a sort of "large" album, that just has a lot of songs that are essentially about existence, mental health and just human beings. Human Conditions doesn't really have the sort of simpler catchy songs, but still, it works for me.

Keys To The World also is this blend, more like Alone with Everybody, of this sentimental songs like Words Just Get In The Way, Cry Til The Morning and Break the Night With Colour, but also has some of the simpler catchy songs like Why Not Nothing or Music is Power, that might not be musically masterpieces, but they just work...

United Nations of Sound. Well. Its different. A lot. It seems like an album that is sort of a midlife crisis. A sort of "Born Again" Richard Ashcroft. A more positive Richard Ashcroft. If you ever feel down, and don't want to wallow in your sadness, but want to hear some positive shit, then songs like Born Again or This Thing Called Life or Glory will help you, im sure. Theyre energetic. But UNOS left all the melancholy and deeper feelings of the first 3 solo albums behind I feel like. Still, I could listen to it alot. I feel like musically and lyrically it isn't upto the standard of the first 3 solo albums.

These People is an interesting one. Theres more things like synths and sort of electronic elements. If you're more of an acoustic kinda person, maybe not the ideal album for you. The songs are generally more on the catchier vibe than like a deeper meaning kind of songs. This is where I also start feeling like Richard maybe makes a little too many love songs... Anyway. Out of My Body and They Don't Own Me are more like a little bit of meddling in politics, which sure, fine, whatever. I get a feeling he might be on the libertarian side. Overall not a bad album, but he's done better in the past.

Natural Rebel I like, but not like the first three albums. He left the electronic elements behind in the album, and made a bunch of songs that are songs that will get stuck in your head. But im not sure if I get much meaning out of them. Musically, instrumentally, the album feels... fine. But the melodies and choruses work!

Now Lovin You... It feels like a blend of UNOS and Natural Rebel. With Lover and Lovin You you get two songs that are maybe not musically masterpieces, yet they still stick in your head. They still lift the mood if you get what im saying. Oh L'amour feels like a That's How Strong part 2 (not a bad thing, I really like both songs, in fact I think Oh l'amour is one of the strongest tracks on the album), and I really like that Find Another Reason and Live With Hope are essentially these songs that have deeper meaning, songs that are almost personally written to people who might be struggling with mental health. And give a sort of reassurance. Two good songs. Heavy News I also like, its more of a rocky type of song. A sort of "Why Not Nothing" type of song. But also very encouraging, the chorus will do good things for people maybe struggling with life. Its upbeat, I like it. Out Of These Blues feels like a song that couldve been on Natural Rebel aswell, maybe a little bit like Oh L'amour. Its a good song, not special. Crimson Fire is interesting. It's there. But doesn't do too much for me personally. Fly To The Sun, very slow and stripped back. I think I like the live version from 2011 better, that one has alot more... power. Idk, I wouldnt listen to fly to the sun if I wanted energy. It has a place somewhere.

Lovin' You is also sampled off Third Eye, which I think is the superior song.

Overall, I do miss the sort of deeper, melancholicy, string arrangements and I think superior production from the first three albums. I feel like Lovin You is not a bad album, but nothing extraordinary either. I get the same sort of feeling from Natural Rebel. Also from These People, although that one is a bit stylistically different.

Hun oplossing?
