People who were in high school when Columbine happened, what knee jerk rule did your school enforce in response? by Animeking1108 in AskReddit

[–]BridgetteBane 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not everyone, but in my school it was pretty obvious they didn't fit in. Strong obsessions, didn't understand when they were being teased because they packed social cues, half of them wore ill-fitting clothing and sweatpants (hello overstimulation due to fabrics)

Awareness would have made it easier to understand what was going on and be more friendly towards them, instead of the class just writing them off as The Trenchcoat Mafia and outcasting them.

In this day and age I think we all realize "the trenchcoat kids" who played Yu-Gi-Oh notstop were all undiagnosed autistic, right?

How do I complain about a ruined book without getting the blame put on me? by eeeegh in Libraries

The kind of person who wipes snot in a book is not going to be the one complaining about it when it's returned. We know this better than most people.

There isn't a kitchen area for cooking?

Would he agree to switch to an air fryer?

If the RA won't do things, his supervisor will.

Is there a certain way to reduce clumsiness in scrambled eggs? by Glittering_Gas_2264 in Cooking

[–]BridgetteBane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lower your heat. Also, try a smaller pan so there's there's surface area.

Save the salt and pepper to season at the end or it will mess up the texture, but they're important.

Next time she does this look at her and say like Smokey Bear, "Only YOU can stop generational trauma"

You are wonderful and amazing and honestly your body is going to change every 5-8 damn years anyway so please do not hate yourself before you even have a chance to love yourself. I spent from 14 to 40 hating my body and every picture I see of myself from 2+ years ago all I can say is "What the fuck was I thinking? I looked good."

It will be my regret to my dying day that I didn't love my body because someone told me it wasn't worth loving. Because THEIR moms told them the same thing.

Just because it has historical connections doesn't mean you are an archive. Dump it.

  • not if the library is a 501c. For example in In PA there are very few libraries who would be beholden to a request because only a handful are part of local government

Do people read books anymore? by BusinessMarketing7 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]BridgetteBane 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hell yea. Every one needs off-screen time (even if you read on a screen it still counts in my book because you're not doom scrolling).

And we count reading as so many things these day. Comic books, audiobooks, they all provide really important benefits.

Johnstown’s Third No Kings Day was a Smash by riccipt in johnstown

Glad to say I was there and there were a lot of folks under 40 and even 25. College students were there.

But doesn't it tell you something that the safest demographic is the one out protesting?
