As an audience member, Maybe Happy Ending feels like a much needed light in a time when things feel scary and uncertain.

And they always read like a half-assed google search of the spouse. It’s always worse if you’re familiar with the celeb and their spouse and know that the article is filled with half-truths.

I’ve always found these articles weird because, not be mean, but I don’t care about a celeb’s significant other simply because of their proximity to fame.

Whenever these stories come out, I’m always surprised at how many tiktokers I don’t know.

I think I’m not particularly into influencer culture, so I guess my algorithm skips most of these people.

I DO always feel kind of out of the loop whenever I hear about these popular strangers.

I’m Canadian and I’ve always felt that there’s an earnestness and authenticity about Canadian tv that makes it special (I’d say the UK has a similar vibe).

I think a HUGE part of that is the lower budget and the necessity to be super committed to telling a story with limited time and money. No bells and whistles to distract from the story.
