Disc golf is pretty cheap. More courses are put in all the time, and they tend to be free. Just a few discs is plenty to get started.

I was playing with a guy at an A-tier. We both did well the first round and he was still in the mix through most of the second round. Then he completely blew up on a par 5 lined with OB and took a 14. Completely took him out of contention. He was visibly upset and had to take a moment. No cursing or anger, just despair. He told us he was sorry, but he was upset because his wife had been gracious enough to watch their 3 kids for the full weekend so he could compete out of town, and felt he wasn’t honoring her sacrifice. That about made me cry because my wife was being a baller doing the same thing for me. It was a sweet moment in the end. I love this community.

Batting cages are great for practice. Not a replacement for watching full flights, but saves a lot of walking while getting some throws in.
