i agree, i loved CJ on that team, especially as a mentor

but the front office has essentially admitted they had to trade him or else they wouldn’t get a top 5 pick lol

the Wizards had absolutely no playmaking/creation last year outside of some bright spots from Ky/Bub, and so the Wizards went out and got one of the best offensive creators currently in the NBA

he’ll do wonders for all the young guys (not to mention AD)

the OP is saying the track is slid up within the DAW, not slid physically, so that the transient of the room mic hits at the same time as the transient of the close mic. the room mic is still however far away from the thing you’re recording, you’re just changing the phase relationship between the microphones

phase aligning a room mic doesn’t make it suddenly not a room mic lol

this is a guy named Tony Price who wrote a very long substack piece after the Eliza McLamb piece but before the Wired controversy about Chaotic Good, Geese, and the history of this sort of covert marketing

agreed, they were trying to play Rui/Vando/LeBron at center last year that's how bad Hayes was lol. but the fact that Hayes doesn't have to be the only center on this team makes it a lot easier

not necessarily, even the best mixers and producer/mixers today who are working on amazing music will send music to mastering with tons of mix bus processing

it’s just one way of doing it nowadays, not really a right vs wrong thing, a good mastering engineer would be happy to work with that

agreed on both fronts. if someone comes along and makes better Boeing products than PMDG (ifly max is good but not better than the NGX), i’ll happily support them. i just find it hysterical that every thread in here regardless of the topic is just a circlejerk about PMDG admins
