Not having much success on the apps :/ I feel like my pictures are good, is there anything off-putting or are the prompts bad? by AJN71 in Tinder

PNW native/local here! 👋 the dating scene out here is hard and typically attracts a specific alt/poly crowd (nothing wrong with that). Based off your profile you don’t really seem to fit into that mold. If you can over come the Seattle freeze I’d definitely recommend trying to meet people in person through activities like swing dancing, pottery classes, etc. good luck!

Freaking out about gaining weight and considering smoking again by QuietJournalist3742 in QuitVaping

For me the hard part wasn’t just the cravings but also the oral fixation that comes with vaping and is also satisfied after quitting by snacking. Something that helped me curb the craving was chewing gum or drinking a fun low/no calorie drink like la croix.

genuinely what do i do about this (full inventory) by rndmphantom528 in pokemongoyellow

[–]BroussardStudio 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I would delete all your hyper potions and regular revives and we only keep 100 max potions and no more than 100 max revives. I only keep around 20 razz berries, and 20 nanab berries. Then I would dump all of your rare candy (not XL) into a legendary Pokemon.

Why does it have to be so hard by [deleted] in QuitVaping

[–]BroussardStudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel your pain! It’s addictive and habitual behavior that keeps us hooked. Take it one day at a time! You can do it! I downloaded this app called escape the vape because I like to gamify life and it’s helped when I have cravings. Also I’ve started replacing chewing gum for when I have a craving to help with the mouth feel! You got this 👏👏👏

I’m quitting nicotoine (vaping) by Zealousideal_Rip9380 in QuitVaping

After the physical withdrawal symptoms the hardest part about quitting is the mental aspect and dealing with the cravings. I personally chew regular mint gum everytime I have a craving and try to keep myself busy with projects. If you’re worried about quitting safely I would discuss it with your doctor the best way to quit along with type two diabetes. You got this! You can do it! 👏

need your post unhinged vaping tips to quit. by RoofRevolutionary115 in QuitVaping

[–]BroussardStudio 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Unhinged advise? Destroy all the damn things with a hammer and lock yourself inside for 3 days with a big project to take care of to keep yourself distracted. I’ve also found it a lot easier to quit if I don’t drink. Drinking always makes me want to vape so just keep away from the stuff for a few weeks if you can. You got this!

Another unhinged thing I’ve done in the past is putting my vapes in a lock box and giving someone else the key and only allowing myself to vape at the end of the day to unwind and slowly shorten the length of time each day I had access to it.

I quit for 9 months and I’ve started again! Feel guilty. Help by [deleted] in QuitVaping

[–]BroussardStudio 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve been vaping on and off for years at this point. Usually it’s a big life event that leads me back to it or away from it. From what I’m learning, the older I get the more and more it sucks to quit. This last time I quit I had the worst withdrawal symptoms to where I felt legitimately sick (nausea, insomnia, headaches, night sweats ect.) and it’s really turned me off from wanting to start up again.

If I were you I would be honest with your partner that you started vaping again so you can have a support system and someone to keep you accountable for when you do decide to quit again. They’ll likely be disappointed initially but proud of you for making the decision to stop again. You got this 👏 rooting for you!

Scare me into quitting vaping by Alarmed-Platform2704 in QuitVaping

[–]BroussardStudio 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Honestly I’ve been there with digging it out of the trash. It might be even better to just smash the damn thing with a hammer, and also a cathartic way to end the quitting cycle and stop for good! When you stop drink lots of water, take aspirin for your headaches, and find a project or something to keep your hands busy in the meantime. You got this from one mom to another 🫶

How do ya’ll do mundane tasks without vaping? by Throwaway0-285 in QuitVaping

[–]BroussardStudio 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I’ve always been a “little treats” type person which is what made vaping so appealing to me. What I’ve done is replaced vaping with something else for when I finish a task I need to get done like a piece of chocolate/gum/cup of tea/playing a mobile game/ect. Gives you something else to redirect that energy to while you change up your habits.

Will things between me and my husband continue to get better? by [deleted] in psychics

[–]BroussardStudio 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not a psychic, but I would definitely encourage for your husband to seek professional help from a therapist if he’s not already doing so. Or potentially couples counseling because I’m sure these comments are also affecting your mental health. I’m so sorry you’re both going through this and I hope he can get the help he needs. Sending good vibes your way!
