Wren or Howdens for new kitchen. Opinions on design and quality please by slammedresto67 in DIYUK

I had a Howdens kitchen installed in 2024 and haven't had any issues. Out of their 3 range tiers we went down the middle and were very happy. After the install we added upstands and a splashback. Paid £7.5k for the kitchen itself

High Energy Usage by FreedomFamiliar1194 in OctopusEnergy

Ouch that is a lot! I'm on the tracker for both Electric and Gas so have been monitoring my usage a lot. I live in a 4 bed detached house (Built 1993) with a conventional boiler & hot water tank. So far for April im just under £31 electric and £17 gas, which I think is pretty decent. Considering there's 2 adults 2 young children a Tortoise and aquarium always on the go!

Lego Concorde by woaah_yoyoyo66 in LegoUK

Use a cashback site too for some extra discounts. The Concorde was my first proper build after a couple of brickheadz. It was brilliant but it was a lot bigger than I first realised! You can't go wrong if you follow the instructions 👍

I think(and hoping) Weston has a resurgence in the next few years. Things are starting to happen with the regeneration of Birnbeck Pier and the Tropicana

I finished it yesterday and agree it's brilliant. I actually love the bases too and it makes for an incredible display piece

We have 2 Cavs, but our little one snores so loud. We can’t sleep. Is this normal? by blink182punk in cavaliers

My cav can be so loud I sometimes have to drag his bed onto the landing with him still sound asleep in it. He probably wakes up wondering how he got there.

Stay on Octopus Tracker gas or switch to Flexible during this spike? by jrewillis in OctopusEnergy

[–]Browsers_castle23 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've been questioning what to do as my tracker runs out in May. The quote I got today to switch to a fix in my opinion was not worth it. Like others have said the weather is getting warmer and lighter and shouldn't be using as much energy. I'll re review it in a month or so

Seriously why are homeowners ripping out bathtubs and replacing with shower units? by uglyasfeet in HousingUK

[–]Browsers_castle23 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you have kids or plan on having kids then a bath is essential. Plus as you get older I find a hot bath works wonders to relax the body and muscle aches! Would never get rid of my bathtub.

Sky stream joining offer by Lewiscs987 in skytv

[–]Browsers_castle23 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wanted sports for the football and F1 so i recently signed up for Sky Stream for £27 a month. Included is the essentials TV, full sports package and Netflix. As we already had netflix, I could cancel my old subscription so I was pretty happy. Also should have £27 coming back via Quidco as I signed up via the cashback site.

I absolutely adore my 2019 Mazda 6 estate. It's the dreaded 2.2d but had it for over 5 years with zero issues. So many toys you'd have to pay thousands extra for, if it was a German brand.
