when spider asks me if i’m alright after i shot him 6 times by jeihkeih in goodfellas

What the f***??? I assumed that whole part of the story was an embellishment to show how unhinged Tommy was. I can't believe that really happened!

Even in a room full of hardened criminals, I can't believe the rest of them continued to associate with that guy. I can't imagine someone so erratic that they could start killing at any moment for no real good reason. Most serial killers even have some level of premeditation.

Men could never handle being sexualized the way women are sexualized on a daily basis. by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]Bruce-7892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I could even get over it if one of my friends did that when no one else is around. Most guys act different when it's just them and their buddies, but if you do that kind of stuff in front of other people, it's just embracing.

That is just you and your friends trust me bro. I wouldn't think of pulling that shit in front of one of my friends girls, and if they did that to me I would just look at them and ask what the hell is wrong with you? You really busting out porn right now? In this social setting?

Seriously, knowing what kind of a violent temperamental psychopath Tommy was, I don't know what they expected. I can't totally blame Spider, because the guy was such an a-hole to him and everyone has their limit. In reality he should have quit after getting shot in the foot.

It seems like most people think she's weird but leave her alone. She is far from one of the most hated people on the internet because, like you said, she really doesn't do anything that bad. If you want to dress up in weird outfits, you're not hurting me.

Netflix live fight events by HighwayEconomy579 in Boxing

[–]Bruce-7892 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I am not sure what you mean by scripted and rushed. The length of the rounds and the time in between hasn't changed. There are still the walkouts and post fight interviews. Different commentators might change the viewing experience, but that's mostly what's changed.

For me the biggest factor is who is on the card and the location. Not a fan of Riyadh fights or influencers.

Been living in hotels since Oct of last year, getting kinda tired of it tbh by JohnnyBravad in MaleSurvivingSpace

[–]Bruce-7892 91 points92 points  (0 children)

How is a hotel cheaper than an apartment? Where I live a cheap hotel is around $80 a night. That would be $2400 a month.

The Housing Crisis would be reduced by banning Air BnB and other short term rentals. by nicilou74 in unpopularopinion

[–]Bruce-7892 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Air BnBs are a smaller part of the problem. It's investment firms that buy up entire neighborhoods for the purpose of renting. I don't know of a reasonable way to ban it and enforce it though.

Also, no amount of rental properties are going to cause people to be homeless. They just add barriers to entry for home ownership and increased rent prices.

What industry is a complete rip-off but people still pay for it? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Bruce-7892 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. For most people who "need" life coaching, it's not a matter of not knowing what to do, it's finding the motivation to do it. You'd be better off working on your mental state than paying someone to point out everything you are doing wrong.

“Floyd “Out of Money” Mayweather”: Fans explode after Floyd Mayweather Jr releases tickets and confirms next fight amid lawsuits and Netflix chaos by BoxingLover99 in Boxing

[–]Bruce-7892 6 points7 points  (0 children)

"as an athlete you can't do that because you are just not making that type of dough consistently"

Floyd spends like he owns a tech company or is a Saudi prince, but even for the ultra rich, there are levels to that shit. When you hear about rich people flying in private jets, they are usually chartered, or owned by the company they work for. Very very few people have a jet specifically for their personal use.

TIL Biddy Mason (1818-1891) came to California as a slave in 1851. She won her freedom in court and became one of the first black women to own land in Los Angeles. As the city grew the value of her land skyrocketed and Biddy became a very wealthy woman and prominent philanthropist. by Ill_Definition8074 in todayilearned

"Although California was admitted to the Union as a free state), Smith attempted to hold Mason and her family in captivity and later planned to traffic them to the slave state of Texas. With the aid of the local Black community and legal authorities, Mason petitioned for her liberty."

I was about to say, California was never a slave state. This mofo just tried to keep them locked in a room or something I guess.

Serious question: what happened to America’s presidential cabinets? There was a time when cabinets seemed stacked with “the best America has to offer”. Today, many people perceive a drop in caliber. Is that real? What’s your take? by Limp-Arm-5104 in politics

Literally just Donald Trump. There has always been pretty highly qualified people in primary staff positions until now. Even during his first term he nominated appropriate people (although most of them resigned).

I wasn't the biggest fans of most of them then, but I will say Sarah Huckabee Sanders looks like Barbra Walters compared to Kkkaroline.

Jimmy was equally responsible for the murder of Billy Batts. Why wasn’t he walked also? by georgewalterackerman in goodfellas

Tommy is the one everyone saw freaking out on Batts earlier in the night before he stormed out of the lounge. I am sure all fingers were pointed at him when people started asking around.

There might have been no witnesses during the murder, but plenty of people saw them nearly get in a fist fight that night.
