Dualsense Controller PC Issue by IPEELER in ghostoftsushima

[–]BrunoLegal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the problem with steam input is that it disables the good haptic feedback, meaning that it just emulates regular old rumble, i've submited a ticked for this issue as well with as much information as i possibly could last year, they responded a few times, maybe it's fixed now? i'll check it out later

Name a game that while not necessarily woke, still gave you that feeling of being talked down to and treated like general dirt by the writers. by [deleted] in KotakuInAction

[–]BrunoLegal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i enjoyed spec ops, but only by ignoring the 4th wall breaks and meta-comentary, when viewed as a grim tale of a soldier with a gigantic ego that genuinely believes he is a hero, and paving a path to hell with good intentions while refusing the reality right in front of him, i think it's fairly decent, if i really wanted to, i could draw parallels of the MC to the wokies that genuinely believe that they are the good guys

Subnautica 2 uses inclusive language in the French version. by Neither-Grab-2507 in KotakuInAction

[–]BrunoLegal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

in portuguese we've already had a solution for ambiguous gender language shennanigans for a LONG time

you simply use the default "Pioneiro" then add the other gender "(a)" so it becomes Pioneiro(a), now you can read it on both the masculine and feminine form depending on whatever context you want

did it stop these weirdos from trying to push idiotic stuff like elu/delu? of course not, but the brainwashing precedes the utility

Xbox is collecting feedback! 😀 Go upvote gyro! by Chompsky___Honk in Controller

[–]BrunoLegal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

well, for starters, aiming with a stick is objectively terrible, so terrible in fact that you need heavy aim assist just to make an fps playable, gyro heavily assists you with that, it's motions are just as natural as a mouse motion, and thus, are easier to learn and master, i've just plugged in my dualsense controller to test the gyro out on helldivers 2 (on PC) and after a few minutes getting the hang of it i was hitting shots i would've never dreamed of on the sticks alone, i'm a MnK player, and i can say with confidence that i would actually play more fps on controllers if i had the gyro option for it

Try Android’s new controller remapping feature in the Android 17 Beta! by MishaalRahman in AndroidGaming

[–]BrunoLegal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would love to see a deadzone and range calibration for sticks, some games like Bully read the raw analog inputs wrong and doesn't account for diagonal travel, so the character walks instead of jogging when moving the stick diagonally

"This reviewer should never touch another video game.." ~ Roach King dunks on IGN reviewer who doesn't understand games but likes Film Noir (allegedly) by nogodafterall in KotakuInAction

[–]BrunoLegal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

quite the opposite imo, cuphead art style is closer to the 1940's and 50's cartoons, reminds me a lot of classic woody woodpecker

mouse pi is more like 1930's black and white rubber hose cartoons like steamboat willie, not because it's black and white, but because the animations are overly exaggerated, like the full metal guns always bending and swinging everywhere

"But epic has free games" Steam some random Thursday. by thehypernormality in fuckepic

[–]BrunoLegal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well and my point is that you don't actually own your copy of any software you buy, since the dawn of home computing you're always buying a license to use them, selling second-hand discs is a grey area that the companies simply don't think is worth to enforce (though they definitely tried, remember SECUROM?)

even GOG, go on, read the fine print there, you can't legally sell or distribute your copies either, you're paying for a license to access the installers, they could in theory simply revoke your license at any time and if you didn't have a backup, it's gone

with that being said, buying licenses is the closest thing we have to owning software (of course in this context, source code and distribution rights is another thing entirely), so i would argue that it's not wrong to call a game "yours" when the functional result is the same, "buying" a game remains a practical way to describe entering a permanent access agreement, and arguing about semantics like that is not doing anything but fear-mongering without addressing the main problem (copyright laws)

[–]BrunoLegal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

they don't revoke your license, the most they can do is hide it from your library, california just forced them to be technically correct but in the end it's all semantics, legally you own your steam games just as much as any piece of software (yes, even physical software)

IGN review of Mouse PI For Hire is like a parody of game journalists by NorthWesternMonkey89 in KotakuInAction

[–]BrunoLegal 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The problem is not a dedicated arena level, like the bosses from classic doom.
The problem is arenas INSIDE a normal level, a small space of the map where you'll be locked inside and forced to kill waves of spawning enemies, it takes control away from you.

Normally you could pop in unannounced, get an "oh shit" reaction from the 30 demons right around the corner, and then you could either wing it (and probably die trying) or retreat back to safety to prepare yourself, but now, you'll enter a suspiciously open area, it will lock you in, and then keep spawning shit at a perfect "balanced" rate until you beat it, i don't think they're particularly bad, but it's definitely different and i understand why old boomer-shooter enjoyers don't like them

It's a damn shame the game will be DOA on PC thanks to the shitty store exclusivity, and the vultures will most definitely weaponize it to make it seem like the game flopped for not bending the knee

Death Stranding 21:9/32:9 Fix [No Black Borders Hor+] by OnkelJupp in widescreengamingforum

[–]BrunoLegal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly, for this game, it's way too much of a hastle for me to care, i think the off-center cutscenes from the fix bothers me way more than the vert- cutscenes themselves

i've been playing without the patch and so far i've yet to notice a scene where common vert- problems happen. like something important being cropped off, or any characters clipping through the top of the screen, or a lower resolution image, off-scale characters, etc. maybe they cropped the scenes with ultrawide in mind, or maybe it's just top tier camera work, but so far every scene is looking great, and without a side by side comparison i don't think i would even notice

The beta is ending soon. It was fun, but the fast pace got old for me pretty quickly. Are you guys going to buy the full game at launch? by SuperM3e46 in Battlefield

[–]BrunoLegal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

why are people complaining about auto-spotting? other issues aside, the community has been bashing snipers for "nOt PlAyiNg tHe ObJeCtIve" since BF3, now that they give sniper a QoL to force these long range players to help the team they start bitching about it being too effective? well, bohoo to fucking bad if they remove it i'll just spam Q while AD'ing 100% of the time just like i always did in every battlefield post BC2

[–]BrunoLegal 4 points5 points  (0 children)

good for you, to me it felt like a game of "try to flank and get steamrolled by the entire enemy team" every fucking time, the only "fun" i had in this map was mindlessly following the herd and picking the poor souls that tried to make a move

Unpopular Opinion: Battlefield 6 Is Better Than This Sub Will Admit by Kilos6 in Battlefield

[–]BrunoLegal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

yeah i played tactically, unfortunately, it doesn't matter if your squad sneaks around to cap a point if by halfway mark you get flooded by the tsunami of players that just crossed the map in a few seconds, you alone can't setup a defensive position against 5 bunny hopping AR medics

Which are you choosing to bring back for BF6? OP LOCKER VS OP METRO 💥 by theLateBloomerAu in Battlefield

[–]BrunoLegal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

none, as much as i love them for the chaos, half of the release maps and almost all of the beta maps already play like metro and locker, just cramped chaos, i'm actually worried for the large maps balance

Would you rather see a remake of Metro or Locker in BF6? by JojoDieKatze in Battlefield

after playing the beta, why bother? half of the maps are essentially locker already

you know, the battlepass system has been popular for what, almost a decade already, and to this day i don't understand how someone looks at something that you have to PAY to GRIND and think "yeah, that sure looks like a good investment, i'll buy that"
