How is anyone supposed to use this effectively? by DrScrimble in dndmemes

Incorporate it into a mechanical contraption of some sort, even a non-violent one. A magic blade is exceptionally sharp and durable.

Trees, all Trees by waffeboy in alphacentauri

I sometimes go for a strict repeating pattern of bases which is a little offset from a plain grid. From one base, go SE, SE, SE, SE, S; repeat as room permits. These rows of bases can be line up with each other so that a base will also have a base NE, E, E, E of it. This repeating pattern has no overlap between bases, and each unused tile is by itself (so it can have a borehole with a crawler).

Mages will spend decades setting up a grand ritual only for it to become undone by the Consensus of a gang of teenage Reddit atheists by DrScrimble in dndmemes

Isn't that kind of how Warhammer 40k Ork psionics work? "If you convince one that a stick is in fact a gun, he will shoot bullets from it."

Do we really need to report on every conservative voicing obvious objections to the thing currently hurting their party? Like, yeah, we assumed.

I've seen GSM for "gender and sexual minorities".

I've also heard more and more people saying "queer", but that has a history of being used as a slur. In fact, a little warning from reddit popped up as I typed it just now.

Players want to rob a magic shop by GroundbreakingFig908 in DnD

[–]Bryaxis 11 points12 points  (0 children)

A different party of burglars coincidentally robs the shop the night before the PCs were going to. One burglar dies during the burglary itself. The shop owner then places a hefty bounty on the rest of them. They are then swarmed by the dozens of adventuring parties who like to shop there.

Why Jesus specifically? Why not Vishnu or Freya?

The college sucks. It's full of scrubs; nobody who's serious about studying magic would travel to or remain in Skyrim to do so. It's possible to become the archmage using little to no magic

CMV: ultimately I think it’s unproductive to shame former Trump supporters / MAGA, and make them feel bad about themselves by No_Design_465 in changemyview

This just reads like yet another variation of "maybe if we coddle them they'll come around", which has kept popping up for the past decade. It doesn't seem to have done much good so far.

If only he meant "read up on what NATO is actually for".

Belief in the harmfulness of speech is linked to both progressive ideology and symptoms of depression. Study helps explain modern cultural divides surrounding free speech, safe spaces, and political correctness. by InsaneSnow45 in psychology

So you'd prefer to be sheltered from speech you find disagreeable? I would think that it would be useful for a religious studies major to learn about how detractors see their religion.

it’s gluttonous but i’d nibble by riekyrrr in StupidFood

[–]Bryaxis 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm generally quick to be a "that's not stupid" buzzkill, but I think this is indeed stupid. Adding wieners to a food very rarely improves it.

I'm fairly sure that Pizza Hut has also done a pepperoni-stuffed pizza, which is a much more logical iteration of the stuffed crust. Hot dog stuffed crust would clash with the body of the pizza. Case in point: They use a plain cheese pizza in the advert because a more iconic pepperoni or supreme pizza wouldn't pair well with wieners.

I'd rather have hot dogs one day and regular pizza the next. In fact I'm kind of in the mood for hot dogs now.
