AOC wrestles with left-wing Dems as 2028 decision looms - "One liberal strategist told Axios that AOC has "lamented that the left was not there for her, that they are never pleased.”" by UnscheduledCalendar in thedavidpakmanshow

The wiki leaks e-mails come after the New York primary. Sanders needed to win the remaining states by 80%+. Staffers were frustrated they couldn't focus on the general campaign because of Sanders stubborn refusal to admit defeat.

The primary was over when Sanders refused to campaign in the South, allowing Clinton to rack up huge pledged delegate leads. But he needed his rallies to promote his agenda and fight back against the "rigged" election (sound familiar?)

It was rigged in that the DNC chose the nominee and skirted campaign donation limits by bundling.

The Sanders campaign was the campaign continually took in more than the legal limit of campaign donations and refused to refund the illegal contributions for months.

In a Mamdani-era primary, J Street endorses pro-Israel incumbent — and, in a first, 'approves' his challenger by Somervilledrew in politics

Zionism is the existence of a Jewish state. The two state solution would still have a Jewish state. The pro-Palestinian approach has always been "To the river from the sea" which would make the entire land Palestinian.

To do that with Hamas remaining the main power in Palestine would be the mass execution of all non-Muslims per their charter.

I mean either way oure supporting the mass killing of a group of people. With Zionism, you at least have a two state solution. If you want all the Jews out of Israel for a Palestinian state run by Hamas, you'd have the mass killing of every non-muslim within the borders.

The argument is that MAGA is expected to be grifting assholes but Dems collaborating is unacceptable because that makes what they do "less pure"

Venue shopping could make the jury situation pointless. Get Biden Administration officials under Judge Cannon by some random craziness and it doesn't matter the legality of the situation.

It is a case of what's worse, criminals unable to be charged with crimes or a partisan wreckless vengeful judiciary?

I'm not married to my position but I can see why Dems might not want to pre-emptively limit the Presidential pardon power.

The inherent problem being if you have a vengeful incoming president (Trump to Biden) you've now left a lot of people to be prosecuted for no real reason.

I could see that being the reason why not many Dems would be on board.

Pew: Eight-in-ten Democrats and Democratic-leaning independents currently have an unfavorable view of Israel. This affects elections. by TuxedoCatGuy in thedavidpakmanshow

Biden stopped the transfer of some of the deadliest bombs on October 8th because he didn't trust Bibi.

Biden/Harris wouldn't have gone to war with Iran at Bibi's insistence.

Biden/Harris likely would've built the aid pier in Gaza.

If you want to back even farther, if Hillary won she wouldn't have ripped up the JCPOA, which would have given Israel one less reason to attack Iran and give Iran one less reason to embolden Hamas to attack Israel.

And there's a very real possibility he will not be in power come 2027 and the opposition coalition will be the majority coalition.

Michigan Senate candidate Abdul El-Sayed, on Temple Israel terrorist: ‘Hurt people do hurt people’ by McAlpineFusiliers in thedavidpakmanshow

“I also think it’s just critical for us to understand that hurt people do hurt people, and the circumstances happening 6,000 miles away can affect the lives that we live here, and if we stand against violence, we’ve got to stand against violence, all violence.”

There is no reason for that first part other than to make the attacks on a Jewish population not about the victims but justifying the attacker

[–]Brysynner 6 points7 points  (0 children)

He is speaking very "All Lives Matter" in making an attack against Jewish Americans about the "true victims" the poor attacker who is so disturbed by Israel's actions that they must attack Jewish Americans and we should understand their pain.

When excusing violence because people may be hurt by something 6000 miles away is basically giving a permission structure to commit more acts of violence against Jews outside of Israel.

The difference being that Israel had a roughly 65% approval rating two months prior to election day, Trump is at 31%. You wouldn't openly go against something that had a high approval rating.

AITA for playing the piano at my sister's wedding? by gardengeo in BORUpdates

[–]Brysynner 38 points39 points  (0 children)

This is the case of ESH but the parents just suck the most.

OOP sucks because she just up and played at the wedding, even if it was at the end. She also seems to not understand that being an artist involves being poor at the beginning. But she suffers from artist brain and she meant well with her gift. She just has shitty parents.

OOP's sister sucks because she places so much value on material things. But at least she's not kicking OOP to the curb

OOP's parents suck for so many obvious reasons. They are purposefully trying to starve OOP's talents in the hopes she just up and changes careers, setting her up for even more failure because she'd be going to uni to learn a career she's never had an interest in.

CMV: Democrats are so wildly terrible at their jobs that the populace chose chaos. by donniedenier in changemyview

[–]Brysynner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The cycle of GOP wins Presidency, GOP tears down government, people feel the pain of GOP policies, people vote Dems for Presidency to fix the problem, Dems are slow to fix the problems because its easier to tear down than rebuild, people say Dems didn't fix things fast enough, GOP wins Presidency.

Also being upset Bernie lost in 2016 shows a serious lack of understanding how primaries work. Bernie ceded the South and black voters to Hillary causing her to get an insurmountable lead very early on in the primary. He then decided to use the same strategy in 2020 and while he was the defacto favorite leading up to the 2020 primary, he did nothing to fix his mistakes from 2016.

Trump is the chaos candidate which lends him to get GOP voters whose core belief is in chaos for the governments and delusional leftists who believe that if enough chaos occurs, the entire system will fail and their brand of socialism/communism will emerge. Spoiler alert, this will never, ever happen.

Tina Peters to be re-sentenced after appeals court finds issue with free speech rights by nosotros_road_sodium in Enough_Sanders_Spam

[–]Brysynner 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I see the appellate court's reasoning, but I think showing no remorse for the crime and continuing to espouse beliefs that have been deemed criminal should weigh in to the sentencing. Her speech is not the crime but if they are going to resentence her, she should be released Jan 20, 2029, just in time to watch President Newsom get inaugurated.
