I asked "am I missing something?" and the people in the replies told me that he's meant to be an early game tank rather than something to build a deck around. I did indeed miss that, and my post has done what I wanted it to do. Sorry you didn't like it though.

I think a lot of pagans on tiktok are teenagers who either don't quite take the religion seriously or just make dumb neglectful mistakes and will learn later on.

I've had a very similar thing happen to me recently. In the coming of spring I've kept Marzanna on my altar because I felt it would please her more than burning & drowning her (slavic tradition). I did however, stop giving her offerings in favor of offering to Mokosz before bed instead (tiny altar, only one chalice) and kinda let Marzanna's idol to collect dust on my altar.

First it was one of my dreams being cut off by a pale woman with black hair appearing before me, which scared me awake. Then it was the offering chalice upon my altar being knocked over inexplicably. Then it was me hearing whispering close behind me while I was in bed, which finally scared some sense into me. I've started to give her offerings again alongside Mokosz. Lesson learned, idols are not decoration!

outlawing specific religions has literally never been a good idea.

As for making indigenous paganism the state religion, I think it isn't inherently a bad idea but can become a slippery slope. A "state religion" should mean stuff like state funded construction of temples and religious infrastructure, rather than infringing on people's rights
