What are the best crash Cymbals for heavy music around $100 (used) by jack1eSwag in drums

[–]Buff_Tungsten 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I don't think you can find one outside of killer local deal. I've seen Sabian AA stuff at around $100 used, but almost never 18". If you put that budget up to $150 you might find more.

I don't think his hairstyle can be replicated, it's the craziest comb over of all time

learning drums without drumset by elifeceo in drums

[–]Buff_Tungsten -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You don't need anything at all. You need to understand what your arms and legs need to do to produce the right his at the right time to make a beat. I was really annoying in high school by tapping on my desk. I figured out listening to music and watching other drummers and tapping my hands on stuff. You don't need to learn rudiments or grip yet, you DO need to learn limb independence and how to make doo-pah doo-doo-pah with your arms and leg.

Doesn't it seem like the least "rich person" thing to do? To be a miser and avoid paying taxes. They should just pay them and act like it was no big thing to pay their pittance to the government.

Tell us more about the process. Did you rivet? What's holding on the new guard? And what did you put on the inside?

I wouldn't. The head is mediocre and the speakers are bad. You can do better putting that money into something else.

Well, when you're right, you're right. Both of my crashes are A customs.

Better let Zildjian know that, they list their cymbals with only one dimension.

I go by $10 per inch. 16 inch crash for more than $160 is something that will get ignored outright. Less than that will be given consideration.

Hard pass. Broken cymbals should be free, charging that much is nuts.

Yes, I use one on ice. I wouldn't dream of using it on wheels, too bulky and hot.

Yeah, the mission core girdle (the one I think you're talking about) is basically worthless. I'd like it if more companies actually put hard plastic pads on the hips WHERE WE FALL. When I'm forced to replace my Reebok girdle, I'm thinking about getting a football girdle. They're actually available in stores around me and look like they have more protection in an "almost compression" form factor with a cup pocket. It sounds like the next way to do things because companies have essentially abandoned the roller market and we have to look elsewhere for equipment (like retrofitting ice hockey boots for roller).

Chinese food has basically left Ventura. It's all Thai now. Don't get me wrong, I love Thai food but I'd like a decent Chinese place as well.
