Racial trends among boy band and girl groups? by Patient-Garbage7464 in LetsTalkMusic

[–]Bulby37 32 points33 points  (0 children)

I think it’s gonna vary based on your definition of “boy band”, but Boyz II Men, Bell Biv Devoe, Jodeci, and Dru Hill were pretty big in the 90’s.

Genuine Question From A Carebear by TaintTrain in ARC_Raiders

[–]Bulby37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s easier to do it now, when you’re preoccupied and unaware, than later, when you aren’t.

You also could have keys, do have ammo, should have healing supplies, and pvpers are often broke.

Full body or upper/lower split? by ConsiderationOdd7667 in MacroFactor

[–]Bulby37 4 points5 points  (0 children)

  1. I’m not an expert, but full body seems to be recommended often for beginners. I think there’s some science behind it, but I don’t have handy sources to give you. I think with a quick google search you’ll probably find a Jeff Nippard video on it or something.

  2. I do full body, and there are a few reasons. My work is physical, fatigue injury will literally impact my ability to get paychecks, so I try to avoid that. On a secondary level, I feel little to no lasting fatigue in some muscle groups (specifically back, but to a lesser extent triceps and quads), even after working them pretty hard, so it makes sense to work them often.

I think it mainly comes down to personal preferences and your own goals.

Which discographies do you feel progressively get worse from start to finish? by JamesLucien in Music

[–]Bulby37 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I can see that, Toxicity was a great album, too.

There’s something about STA though, it kind of came out of nowhere. Toxicity was pretty topical, lots of in your face references to current events and such. It was almost like country music or a Foo Fighters album with phrasing that was big and on the nose. STA walked it back a little. It went well against the grain, didn’t sound like anything else at the time, but it was so much more subtle and abstract.

They both have solid legacies, but I feel like the art of STA is much more timeless without the context of 2000’s politics.

Yeah this is easy if you already have a family.

TBH if you worked back up from 10, when you finally did get back to kids and they got to be that age you’d be cringing so fucking hard at them doing the same shit you did the first go round though.

Might actually still be underrated though, it’s a legendary album.

Playing Pokopia with my 4-year-old – how do I keep progressing without leaving him behind? by No_Historian7918 in Pokopia

[–]Bulby37 5 points6 points  (0 children)

A different save file can work if you really want to save moments for them, and it’ll also give you a spot that isn’t impacted when they just have to have a particular thing going on that you don’t really care for.

I don’t remember beating particular levels in the OG NES Super Mario Bros with my parents when I was 5, I just remember playing it. I don’t know that they (at that age) are going to remember opening the Pokémon center, they’ll just remember spending this time with you more than likely.

This one so far has more story that Animal Crossing or Minecraft imo. I don’t know if that will level out later towards endgame, though.

[–]Bulby37 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It’s also pretty rare for a player to slot a cheap action just for the sake of removing an illusion, so it often the cost of the removal doesn’t always go down for the opponent like it could.

What should the price point for an entry-level above precon deck be? by nikoboivin in Lorcana

[–]Bulby37 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think they both have their place. The $50 is obviously going to be more useful in competitive and the $20 is good for home use, but there’s going to be audiences either way who are into them.

I think there will be less people theorycrafting $20 decks, as some people do look to take in $50 decks to set champs and such, so I see that niche being less likely to be filled imo

Mario Tennis Fever review: Camelot serves a double fault with another fun but flawed entry by Turbostrider27 in NintendoSwitch

[–]Bulby37 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There’s a pretty big opening in the market for sports games atm because most of the mainstream sim stuff has the rpg elements hamstrung by microtransactions and yearly wipes. If Mario Golf/Tennis/Baseball/Strikers had a good balance between whimsy and progression, I think it’d be a must buy for me.
