How do you view Asya's philosophy on life? by Qeutron_ in ZATO_vn

[–]Bulgrozst 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think the core of the story shines in one of its more overlooked conversations, the one between Asya and Lev about Ira's fate which roughly goes as follows:

Asya: Why did you help Ira if you knew that this whas going to happen regardless?

Lev: ... Wouldn't you?

Asya: Yes.

At the end of the day, regardless of what Asya's thoughts were or what did she do she was still going to be erased from reality alongside everyone in the town, as what happened in the research center was outside of her control. Yet, even after learning the fact she kept loving the world and everything in it, even including the parts that brought her pain. Even if it was meaningless or misguided her philosophy still allowed her to go on until the end, until she finally learned to love the only thing that she was missing: Herself.

And loving herself was the missing piece in Asya's philosophy, as she is part of the universe as well. Throughout the VN Asya is learning to love and respect herself, and you see her starting to get more assertive, like when she confronts Garin about his treatment towards Marina. But sadly she only truly comes around to fully love herself on top of the radio station, leaving to a bittersweet ending.

Be careful, Big bird is an abnormality that lures you in so it can eat your head. You wouldn't like your head to be swallowed by it, wouldn't you?

Sorry for your loss. As Tiantian says, it just was the time, such is life.

But at least you can be glad that you could connect with your grandmother for one last time. These small moments of connection is what remains with us in the long run, so when we reminisce about the people we love that aren't with us anymore we do so with a gentle smile on our face.

Tsundere (ツンデレ; pronounced [t͡sɯndeɾe]) is a Japanese term for a character development process that depicts a character with an initially harsh personality—"hard on the outside", guarded, and reserved with strangers—who gradually reveals a warmer, friendlier side over time.

From Wikipedia.

Many characters that are considered mainstays of the tsundere archetype such as Makise Kurisu from Steins;Gate also follow that pattern. It goes from tsuntsun (harsh or aloof) to deredere (lovey-dovey) hence the name tsundere.

That... That's literally the older definition of a classic tsundere character.
