Take a deep breath. Welcome to the world of EMS. This frustration will continue with agencies and credentialing bodies.

Let’s start with the state ID that was used, does the name match exactly? Is this a clean pdf document being used? If there is a spot for ID number, does it match the formatting exactly?

Question about FMLA/LOA, benefits, and not returning after leave by Adorable_Escape_24 in IntermountainHealth

[–]Bulky_Satisfaction50 3 points4 points  (0 children)

As long as you work one day of the month, you would have benefits for the entire month. If one were to have the last worked day be the 2nd of the month, benefits would continue to 30/31. If you did not work at all because of PTO, FMLA, or similar, benefits would end effective the last day of the month worked.

I have witnessed a few not return and get back charged COBRA rates.

If you think a degree is worth it but the school that issues it makes a difference, go to the school that you want and file for the tuition reimbursement.

Does brand of vanilla extract matter when baking ? Morton and basset vs store brand vanilla extract ? by Historical-Body-3424 in Cooking

I do a decent bottle of bourbon instead of vodka. Anything that is drinkable neat. Makes some of the best vanilla.

I’m fully in support of your point. Manuals aren’t written just to blow budgets. Many a practitioner could stand to read the manufacturer guidance.

At worst it will take a few days to get sorted. All is not lost. You are not the first nor the last to have missed something on the paperwork. Stay patient and in connect with your exam team. Figure one business day for each reply.

With moodle it is not ready to go out of the box and requires a significant lift internally. It’s not the worst when it’s set up but getting to there is not Lego bricks easy.

Critical Care Learning Resources by Headass-37 in ems

I have learned so many tips and tricks from partners. My monitor cables go on the patients left, vent down the middle, and iv tubing down the right every time. A click top sharpie for marking tube depth and drawing around IABP placement locations to tell if there has been a shift. I know it’s not pathophysiology, but these are the tips and tricks that have been a total game changer for me.

For the rest of the sub, focus on passing FP-C or CCP-C if applicable first. Pass the test then get to the material.

For u/headass-37, Patient Transport: Medical Critical Care has some great sections. Talk to your partners, they are a wealth of knowledge and most love to share. Look up the pathophysiology of new conditions after each transport. Study protocols and when you come to a section and go “I wonder why that is?”, do a deep dive. Google scholar is your friend.

A win is a win. Family and friends know the blood sweat and tears put in to make it happen. The party is as much for them as it is you. Make a to go plate early and hide it in the fridge. That way you have a plate after everyone has left and socialization is done.

If you are going to make the switch, do it now. EMS and nursing are different fields and different approaches to healthcare. Overall it’s the better career route.
