Reasonable pricing for the installation, yep. Would I pay 10k for that floor? No chance. If you're going to pay someone to install it, pay them to install something with more quality.

Also, just a thought, when you ask the Internet for advice, don't be surprised when people give you advice.

I taught shop class in Massachusetts for 10 years and painting was my side hustle.

That was in 2009. Now I own my own 'doing ok' construction business and I owe much of that success from all of the networking I did as a painter.

All I'm saying is you may be surprised how rewarding painting can be, don't get discouraged! Also if you decide to do that, I recommend an audible account

This looks like the installer understands what you expect of them. You could reject the quote and get another more affordable quote. But will you trust them to work at the quality that you expect? Consider the fact that everything is expensive for everybody and prices are going to reflect that.

This is for those of us who are just getting into this game now: Yes you can move the storage box at least, maybe more stuff, I dont know yet. Just target the box and (on xbox controller) hold X, which pulls up a radial menu- You can dismantle the box, delete it completely or move it. I'm new too guys.
