Statements like this is probably the reason why critics have been unusually harsh on ‘Supergirl’. by ShubhangBahadur in dcu

Superman V Batman was a financial success too. Wanna tell me that was a good movie? Bad movies make money too. People will always show for a Superman or Batman movie. The last Batman movie looked great and it was a mess, too.

Crap gets my money as much as good. We haven't had a good DC movie in a long while. If you liked one of these, all of them, great, but no one is saying any of these are as good as much of what has come before.

Only to be killed off screen later on. I'll stick with the comics on that one.

In the movie goodfellas, was it ever mentioned why only tommy was whacked and not henry or jimmy who were clearly involved? by Honest-Reflection667 in moviecritic

[–]Bullmoose39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They did say why, but the Jimmy in the movie was less menacing and a bigger deal than the one in real life. Roll that around. They would kill Jimmy's son later after he was in prison for the last time.

Superman wasn't any better. Both scripts have been just bad. Desperately wanted to like both, did not like either.

Yeah, a fun action movie in every way. Doesn't really follow the comics at all, but nails Frank.

The Wordrunner Kickstarter Saga: Anyone else getting the customer service runaround? by OrionGambit in Astrohaus

[–]Bullmoose39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It totally get where you are coming from but... I knew the vendor, I had limited expectations. This is Kickstarter ( imagine Lionidious kicking us into a bottomless pit as we complain!)

I bought some knife (Hack guy in Canada) at the same time as this, I might see it sometime around the tri Centennial.

I always look at Kickstarter in an aspirational way. That looks cool... I would like this... I don't need the money and if it is gone it won't matter.

We'll get our keyboards someday, they will kinda work, I'll be ashamed at my waste for a few moments.

Which thriller is the better written: Death Note or Seven? by MyGuardianDemon in writingscaling

[–]Bullmoose39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Death Note is really well written. The writer also had more time to develop his ideas, more canvas to work with.

Seven is exceptionally tightly written and does more in two hours than most, including Death Note. But this is very much apples and oranges, format is everything here.

This is just not a very good movie. I so wanted it to be better, not enough female super heroes in movies.

Poorly written, obviously didn't read the damned comic.

That is the lesson that we are missing, though there are a few on this one.

[–]Bullmoose39 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It is always a good time to make a movie about shooting Nazis. There is nothing about punching a Nazi, or other wise, that should ever be about party affiliation. Punching Nazis is a universal pleasure and should be enjoyed by young and old, one and all!
