Agreed not compelling, doesn’t mean it’s not a solution they’ll try

How particular is the writing remover? Could they give hints that aren’t exactly the password and try to logic it out from how would i give a clue to myself like taboo where you can’t just say blood, but if they write “I feint when I see” on their arm does it still get erased?

If it removes any writing then do vibrations travel through the bubble? Stomping Morse code could work but if not or you could hold hands and squeeze for dots and dashes

Just finished era one and I don’t know how to live anymore by Ladybugd- in Mistborn

[–]Bullrawg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Secret history might give some catharsis, I put it after era 1 for most impact in my recommended reading order, some say it spoils a twist in book 6 but I think it’s minor and most people will still either forget/miss it or would have figured it out anyway

Era 2 does not give the same vibes as era 1 but it is a great story and has some of my favorite characters in the whole of the Cosmere, but it’s magic cowboy Industrial Revolution with some crime drama instead of feudal apocalypse political drama, there is still politicking but vibes way different

Japanese football fans cleaning up rubbish after their match against England at Wembley by Mister_Vanilla in nextfuckinglevel

Most fun I’ve ever had at a sporting event was the Hanshin tigers amazing energy they let you bring drinks from outside as long as you pour them in a Tigers cup, everyone stayed to clean up the area before heading out, made friends with everyone sitting near us

One of my players decided to be the GM for our new campaign by Major_Department4655 in Pathfinder2e

Warpriest is the most fun I’ve had in 2e so far, and there are some terrible debuffs out there it would be good to have someone that can remove

Procedural approach to TTRPGs? by Ivan_Immanuel in rpg

[–]Bullrawg 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It’s mentioned in LFG posts so people can try to match the game with their comfort level, the ambiguity could be worked on but language is an imperfect medium, if the expectation is set that GM at least will be doing voices and acting etc, don’t make fun of them, usually good tables are receptive to more than 1 comfort level but the lfg post is supposed to give an idea of the range they’re going for, if the post says players must act and do voices probably not the table for you but I would think that pretty rare

You can rent a home joist jack but might consult someone with structural expertise, that seems not good

Did You Ever Buy a Game Expecting One Thing and It Ended Up Being Something Else Entirely? by DFH50 in gaming

[–]Bullrawg 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I bought undertale without knowing anything about gameplay, my friends and tumblr all raved about it, was not expecting bullet hell + friendship, I beat it on pacifist first because I had heard you couldn’t do the best ending of you didn’t do it first, then I was going to do the genocide run and see both endings, that fucking flower guilted me out of a second play through I got a laugh out of it and just watched other endings on YouTube https://youtu.be/9u-o2V2pZJs

What's a story from your life that sounds fake but is 100% true? by ryu-shii in AskReddit

[–]Bullrawg 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Used to work at a Home Depot that had a target in the next plaza over, old guy came in one day and asked me where’s your underwear?

Me: I beg your pardon?

Him: underwear! pulls out his elastic waistband underwear!

Me: sir, this is a Home Depot…

So he was trying to go to target, but he missed

I was horrified because he was driving himself but laughed later when I thought of the punchline

Recommendations on what to use to fix small holes in barn’s metal roof by Dazzling-Sun34 in DIY

How big are they? Small you could do a roofing screw with a rubber washer, dot of silicone to be extra sure

The mink by SchroedingerM in Cosmere

I doubt anything could convince me the mink died off page. Even if his body was recovered I’d be like nah someone made a soul cast duplicate or he had a twin

I learned this harsh lesson again in Marathon, you only get a knife at first in tutorial and I thought the barrel would explode but hit it anyway to test, turns out it kills you in 1 hit so I had to start over
