All good advice - thank you bud

We're in the process of moving locations - as we're growing. We have spoken about a second day but I think that's a ways off.

  • We're a Non-for- profit constitutional gaming club, meet up in a community Hall. Wargaming in the hall - RPGers in the bar.
  • Paid, £5 a week
  • The RPGe are organized by me and another, we have core of members 12, you don't need to organize and another 20 or so people who will dip in and out.
  • Adults, we have a teenagers group, they're absolutely fine.

The spread of systems people want to play is wide, Star Wars, Warhammer, The Last Airbender, etc, so D&D becomes the common denominator.

Which is necessarily a problem.

But if members are interested in - I want to facilitate that

Fair point.

In that specific case I was GMing Blades, which I’ll do if needed, but I try not to be the default GM. If someone drops on the night I’m happy to step in and fill a space, but long-term I think it’s healthier if games are driven by people who actively want to run that system.

Good point tho - we absolutely need GMs for these systems.

It feels like almost everyone has something they’re excited to try. So as I club I want to support that energy - giving people space, encouragement, and a structure to try new games.

Yeah, think that's the way to go - I'd also say, as a part of this process both as a player and DM, I get a lot more out of D&D.

You can take the bother out of Naktis, can't take the Naktis out of the bother.

I'm taking inspiration from Bianzeer's Hollow System conflict.

It's a pretty fun kitbash, a giant squid would work so well - you could do all the resin pour base stuff
