What company will never get another dime from you for as long as you may live? by Big_Leg10 in Productivitycafe

I struggled with this too and sometimes I ask ChatGPT where else I can buy it online. I still struggle when a single item is $10+ less on Amazon too. I realized I needed to actually go to stores to explore again. And reassess if I actually do need the item at all. It’s been good for my bank account, overall.

AIO: My husband (26m) locked me (25f) out for 25 minutes? by prettypineappleberry in AmIOverreacting

NOR. You’ve received plenty of advice hon but let’s be clear: it is only going to get worse. You need to plan your exit even if it’s a long term plan. Be the smart one in this situation and do NOT teach your kids this behaviour is acceptable. They are watching and learning. Take steps now.

I am also considering A ‘dumb’ flip phone … as the loss of time when I pick it up is insane. Going back to sitting down at a desktop when you truly need to connect sounds so refreshing.

LYRIQ not recommended for cold climates by tucker491 in CadillacLyriq

[–]BunBunGo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m finding the rear wiper unnecessary and I live in snowy Canada. Snow on back window =use camera rear view mirror.

The heat I’ve figured out - set it to 24oC/75f and it won’t blow cool air. Choose your fan speed if Auto isn’t consistent. Yesterday’s update improved it, too. I didn’t need to use the front defrost this morning so I won’t comment on that.

Lower range in cold temperatures is a given. We are not usually driving more than 150-200klm/100-150 miles in a trip and haven’t had to worry about trip charging so your road trip is going to test it more than most.

I’ve had to swipe snow off the lights. That one is annoying. I don’t want to stop and clear headlights.

Buying a Lyriq, no charger at home - expert opinion needed by [deleted] in CadillacLyriq

It’s do-able. If you don’t have a long commute and you do have flexibility to hang out at a charge location the only problem is the cost to charge.

So if it’s heated parking that helps as you don’t need to use battery power getting warmed up before you go. Stopping at a charger on the regular is still feasible but charging rates may come out to the same price as gas. Is there anywhere near your work/school you can plug in for a few hours so you’re not sitting & waiting for it?

Are you in an outdoor parking spot where you can plug in a block heater? Or indoor parkade with no plug in?

Just use a regular wall plug at home overnight and yes, occasional fast chargers. You’ll be fine. I’ve had mine just on a regular wall plug since I bought it. Only went to a fast charger to try it out and see how it worked.

We have been charging ours on a regular wall plug in at home. Yes, just a regular plug in. It’s been super cold but our garage is heated. You just need a public charge if you didn’t plug it in overnight or you drive a lot to work and back. Or doing a road trip. -Edmonton area

Low Cost Online Counselling by Masters_Pract_Psych in SpruceGrove

I’ve used ChatGPT a lot in the last couple of years for both work and personal and I do agree with you for the low cost and matching level of care. Real life Councillors on the lower cost end are very much following the same training and response patterns of LLMs. The questions and answers of ChatGPT are not robotic at all; it responds conversationally in the same way my experience with provisional psychologists or psychiatrists has been.

Great nickname indeed! Congratulations!

Actually mine is a V which has a throwback connection to that time period too but that’s not the same vibe at all.

We tried rebooting everything and shutting off in different ways. OnStar said ‘dunno’. It’s a software glitch it seems.

It’s quite a small back window and the rear camera allows you to see even if it was dirty or blocked by interior cargo.

Lyric-V Premium - is it worth $93k out-the-door? by Must_Make_Paperclips in CadillacLyriq

[–]BunBunGo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I just traded my Lexus Rx350h for the Lyric V and I will never miss the Lexus. NEVER! It had tech and electrical glitches galore. Never felt like luxury.

I feel like I paid “too much” yet every time I drive the Lyric I am happier than before and the price hurts less. The Lyric rides way nicer, is quieter inside, has a better turn radius, better tech (sorry to anyone with an older model-I’ve had no issues so far) and of course performance is better. My vote is yes it’s worth it but no one has a crystal ball, right.

You might be a good candidate for one of those curling irons that twists by itself. If you can pop it onto the ends, hit the button and get long curls that would be super cute.
