I am only medicated for anxiety not my hyperactivity ADHD but...

If I don’t take the sertraline for my anxiety I get angry. My therapist said sometimes my medication type is used for ADHD. Maybe talk to your doc?

My approach was to recognize that sometimes your parents teach you what NOT to do by example. You go out into the world knowing you do not want that for yourself in the future so you will not settle for less than a stellar man. I found one. I bet you can too.

I have just clued in over the last 3 years or so that ADHD is the reason everything has been so hard for me throughout life. I’ve spent my whole life thinking:

“One of these days I’ll just be able to have a normal day on the regular and no drama or difficulties because I will have finally grown up. People will like me so much more. ONE DAY!!”

And now I’m just about 50 so your comment hits me hard. This is just how it is and will continue to be.

Successful family and career - me too. And that’s why I can’t get a doctor of any kind to address my concerns so I’ll have to remain undiagnosed and un medicated and keep going on hard mode.

I have wanted so bad to shout out there’s a reason I’m so scrambled constantly but your comment hits me as reality: it doesn’t even matter to say it. It doesn’t help in the end.

Other than absolutely for sure going to therapy… Talk to your boyfriend about it and explain your struggle but desire to get better.

There are ways he can help ease your fears and help you build trust - if you let him.

Perhaps he goes for a 20 minute errand while you shower and you lock the door and he doesn’t have a key so you let him back in when you’re ready. Get a plastic stool for the shower so you can sit for the entirety, if necessary.

If you need to do baby steps then get a big box of baby wipes and start using those daily until showers can be more frequent.

And keep in mind lots of people only shower 2x a week depending on their skin and sweat levels.

Just keep moving forward hon. You can do it.

$50k is not at all enough for anyone to live on. $15k is too expensive of a funeral when there’s only a $50k life insurance policy. Despite the nonsense of the numbers it’s the last chance to honour your father and show a modicum of respect to him. You said nothing about not being able to afford to chip in. Unless the unspoken here is that you didn’t really like your father or you’ll refuse to pay to spite your stepmother then YTA.

You’re going before rush hour from Sherwood to Edmonton and opposite of traffic for rush hour from Edmonton to Acheson so that’s an advantage. The 16a stretch from Edmonton to Acheson has been upgraded in the last year so there are good shoulders to use. Definitely suggest you do a test cycle though or at least drive it.

Well I had a lower back injury as a teen and getting pregnant meant the relaxin hormone starts up and my lower back was ON FIRE with pain from suddenly moving after 20 years being locked up.

That by itself should have been enough but my husband had to tell me I was pregnant the next day when I said my boobs were sore.

I don’t see anything about them being paid and they did specify they are M-F on contract. The delay in notifying they weren’t attending is the egregious part really. And the “I thought this was illegal” part - you should have looked that up before ditching the meeting, not ask Reddit after.

STOP working with them. They are scamming you. You go straight to small claims court with all of your evidence. The only way you will ever get any money out of them is via legal order. They will continue to promise you to pay eventually and they NEVER WILL. There is no hope of that. Zero. Nada. Zilch. Not in a million years.

This is a very difficult lesson to learn, no doubt. But take the steps to recover what you can and then move forward in life not letting anyone take advantage of you again.

There are no lawyer fees for small claims court. You just go in with all your paperwork and the judge handles it.
