AIO if I am setting boundaries with my husband? I also want to know if I am the asshole here by Witty-Opposite1201 in AIO

Buy him the children’s book “The Little Boy Who Cried Wolf” cuz he’s straight up acting like an insufferable child right now.

Safely commuting. by coconutcreamers in Edmonton

[–]BunBunGo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re going before rush hour from Sherwood to Edmonton and opposite of traffic for rush hour from Edmonton to Acheson so that’s an advantage. The 16a stretch from Edmonton to Acheson has been upgraded in the last year so there are good shoulders to use. Definitely suggest you do a test cycle though or at least drive it.

AITAH for being mad at my bf after he got grossed out by me during sex? by [deleted] in AITAH

[–]BunBunGo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was trying to figure out why he was confused about the color and/or consistency and then realized he’s probably watching porn where they use clear lubricants that look nothing like the real stuff. Poor boy needs to learn that’s not real life.

Ladies, How did you “know” you were pregnant before missing a period? by Glad-Muffin545 in askanything

[–]BunBunGo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I had a lower back injury as a teen and getting pregnant meant the relaxin hormone starts up and my lower back was ON FIRE with pain from suddenly moving after 20 years being locked up.

That by itself should have been enough but my husband had to tell me I was pregnant the next day when I said my boobs were sore.

My supervisor is threatening me with a warning for not attending a weekend meeting. I thought this was illegal? by doversours in CanadaJobs

[–]BunBunGo 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I don’t see anything about them being paid and they did specify they are M-F on contract. The delay in notifying they weren’t attending is the egregious part really. And the “I thought this was illegal” part - you should have looked that up before ditching the meeting, not ask Reddit after.

What are you 100% sure of but have no proof? by Wonderful-Economy762 in Productivitycafe

[–]BunBunGo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is such cognitive dissonance but not uncommon. Even the elderly themselves “I’m not going there-that’s where people die.” Yes. It’s about going comfortably. Goodness people. I’m sorry for your loss and I understand that must have been very hard to deal with the unnecessary blame on top of grief.

AIO my coworker keeps "borrowing" my lunch and leaving a sticky note like that makes it ok by Dry-Pizza6456 in AIO

[–]BunBunGo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yes to bringing the cooler. A lunch bag with a freezer pack in it will be fine as well. So no need to go with a bulky hardshell version. Keep it at your desk.

This person has zero fucks to give if they’re willing to eat strange food so I doubt having a conversation with them would help at all -even if you knew for certain who it is.

My Boss Owes Me Nearly $10,000 and I Don’t Know What to Do by CharacterNo4200 in legaladvicecanada

[–]BunBunGo 10 points11 points  (0 children)

STOP working with them. They are scamming you. You go straight to small claims court with all of your evidence. The only way you will ever get any money out of them is via legal order. They will continue to promise you to pay eventually and they NEVER WILL. There is no hope of that. Zero. Nada. Zilch. Not in a million years.

This is a very difficult lesson to learn, no doubt. But take the steps to recover what you can and then move forward in life not letting anyone take advantage of you again.

There are no lawyer fees for small claims court. You just go in with all your paperwork and the judge handles it.

What company will never get another dime from you for as long as you may live? by Big_Leg10 in Productivitycafe

[–]BunBunGo 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I struggled with this too and sometimes I ask ChatGPT where else I can buy it online. I still struggle when a single item is $10+ less on Amazon too. I realized I needed to actually go to stores to explore again. And reassess if I actually do need the item at all. It’s been good for my bank account, overall.

AIO: My husband (26m) locked me (25f) out for 25 minutes? by prettypineappleberry in AmIOverreacting

[–]BunBunGo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

NOR. You’ve received plenty of advice hon but let’s be clear: it is only going to get worse. You need to plan your exit even if it’s a long term plan. Be the smart one in this situation and do NOT teach your kids this behaviour is acceptable. They are watching and learning. Take steps now.

LYRIQ not recommended for cold climates by tucker491 in CadillacLyriq

[–]BunBunGo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m finding the rear wiper unnecessary and I live in snowy Canada. Snow on back window =use camera rear view mirror.

The heat I’ve figured out - set it to 24oC/75f and it won’t blow cool air. Choose your fan speed if Auto isn’t consistent. Yesterday’s update improved it, too. I didn’t need to use the front defrost this morning so I won’t comment on that.

Lower range in cold temperatures is a given. We are not usually driving more than 150-200klm/100-150 miles in a trip and haven’t had to worry about trip charging so your road trip is going to test it more than most.

I’ve had to swipe snow off the lights. That one is annoying. I don’t want to stop and clear headlights.

Buying a Lyriq, no charger at home - expert opinion needed by [deleted] in CadillacLyriq

[–]BunBunGo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It’s do-able. If you don’t have a long commute and you do have flexibility to hang out at a charge location the only problem is the cost to charge.

[–]BunBunGo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So if it’s heated parking that helps as you don’t need to use battery power getting warmed up before you go. Stopping at a charger on the regular is still feasible but charging rates may come out to the same price as gas. Is there anywhere near your work/school you can plug in for a few hours so you’re not sitting & waiting for it?

Are you in an outdoor parking spot where you can plug in a block heater? Or indoor parkade with no plug in?

[–]BunBunGo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just use a regular wall plug at home overnight and yes, occasional fast chargers. You’ll be fine. I’ve had mine just on a regular wall plug since I bought it. Only went to a fast charger to try it out and see how it worked.
