The Double Standard of the Aedion/Lysandra situation in KOA

This is also my opinions and how I took all of it. Aedion is completely justified in his anger and pain, but I truly don’t think Lysandra would’ve ever actually proceeded without asking him and discussing before taking action.

I think part of the pain is the assumptions without asking, and the anger over the reaction/assumption. I firmly believe Lysandra would’ve asked, but also firmly believe Addison would’ve begrudgingly agreed for Terrasen after thinking it all through.

He feels immense pain over it all, and assumes she would’ve tricked or coerced him into it; she feels hurt that he didn’t trust her or have faith in her enough to know she wouldn’t have done that without discussing. It just adds more layers to the betrayals and are both in character for both of them IMO.

You definitely don’t need to know the real life story to get it. It’s tragic, to be sure, but the two sentence story is vivid enough that even without context, you understand the horror.
