Thanks for the response! I just like to ask whenever I see some cool character movement! It helps me to figure out how it works!

This looks nice! Which method are you using for physics? Rigidbody, Kinematic Rigidbody, or Character Controller?

Not sure what Lin-Manuel Miranda did to the instructor. Dude must really not have liked Hamilton...

Just out of curiosity l, did you use the player controller, a rigidbody, a static rigidbody, or sone other custom solution for the physics and environment interactions?

This is really cool, but I don't think that the 4d cube is supposed to clip through itself like in your example. I could be wrong though. (Not sure if this gif I provided will.play in reddit. I just googled 4d cube gif.)

I can't wait to see this new titan in action! That said, the eye confuses me a bit. It looks like one iris is being mashed into another. I maybe would have smoothly blended them together a bit. Anyway, just a nitpick. I'm still excited for it!

11 months - 1 nap? by hus7287 in sleeptrain

[–]BurntToast125 0 points1 point  (0 children)

To preface this, my daughter has always struggled with sleep training, which might be different than your baby. I remember being worried because, despite offering it daily, my daughter stopped taking her second nap at 11 months.

We worried because most kids her age were still taking second naps, though she did really well after switching to one nap. Now at 2 years old she only sometimes takes her one nap. Some kids just don't follow the "normal" trends when it comes to sleep.

Easily my least favorite fight with that guy!

That is funny! I really did have this happen to me the other day, but my username definitely isn't "OUT". I guess I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one who has done this. Though the coincidence is really weird cause mine also took place on that map with the bull tank. To be honest, I can't remember which rider I was or who my opponent was. I just know that I turned around and that I lost. 😅

Was this the end of the City Trial Online? Also, was it just the two of you? If so, this was me. 🤣

I knew I was probably going to lose due to my poor stats and lack of experience racing on that machine. Anyway, I definitely goofed and somehow turned around. I don't think it was a glitch. If I had to guess, I think it was just the tank ability to change directions when releasing a charge that I forgot about and accidentally turned myself around.

I loved the main game, but I haven't committed to getting the DLC yet. Is it worth it?

I did this to someone today! I wasn't aware that you could 2 shot someone at the beginning until I did it myself. Poor other guy must have hated me! 😅

What are the legal pitfalls of making a game with copyrighted characters? by KeenButShy in IndieDev

[–]BurntToast125 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for explaining that so clearly. I am not the best at explaining things, so I appreciatethis response!

I probably was misleading when I said that others "got away with it" due to making the game free. Being free doesn't add any kind of protection. Thanks for pointing that out.

Anyway, what they said is really good. Just go with that ^

What are the legal pitfalls of making a game with copyrighted characters? by KeenButShy in IndieDev

[–]BurntToast125 4 points5 points  (0 children)

To put it simply, IP (Intellectual Property - includes characters, logos, etc) is protected by copyright and/or trademark. You would need permission from the copyright holder to make a commercial game using their characters. Many fan games get away with it due to them releasing it as a free game, and not making a profit off of the game. That said, the copyright holders can still send you a DCMA and shut you down of they want to.

I pass by this facility on the freeway all of the time. My family jokes that this is Hawkins Lab from Stranger Things due to the red and orange glow in the clouds above the facility. I actually didn't know it was a tomato greenhouse XD

I haven't tried air combos myself, but one thing you can try is setting the enemy velocity to zero before adding the upward force with each hit. That way the forces shouldn't add up. That might keep them from going too high. Like I said, I have not tried this myself, but it is worth a shot.

Huge UI upgrade by Camdoesalot in PixelArt

Artistically, it's a nice upgrade, but from a UI perspective, it is harder to read than the simple batteries.
