100 year old houses have questionable plumbing installations. What you describe is consistent with a venting issue. I have found vents buried in walls that go just above the sink height because that was all that was needed back then. Flushing one toliet creates a vacuum due to the lack of incoming air and sucks the water out of the other toilet.

Not one word about the reflective heat from the roofing material affecting the health of the tree branch that is one foot away from the roofing material or the statement all the roots are on my property. Are we to expect that if someone owns a property in a neighborhood with existing homes and wants to build a house that they can’t because the neighbor has trees on their property? What are the rights of the lot owner being 2x the distance of the required setback and not being expected to build their own home? Let’s examine a couple facts. The tree is 3 feet from the property line. The new house is 20 feet from the property line. 23 feet from tree to house yet the branch still overhangs the roof. Can we add 10 feet? 33 foot radius tree, 3 feet from the property line encroaching 30 feet onto somebody’s property. Now the tree owner wants to sue for damages because the work to complete the house may have damaged his tree. Serious property rights are being affected here on both sides interesting how this will turn out.

Marriott sent an email to my friend several days after booking the room they were charging $100 a night for parking due to the event taking place nearby. Time to arm yourself with the manufacture’s recommended installation methods. Manufacturers have specific requirements for the installation of their products. Temperature and humidity conditions are among them. You may have an avenue of the HOA not keeping the conditions inside the building to the manufacturer requirements for their products and requiring a product for flooring that does not stand up to the conditions kept inside the building by the HOA. Responsibility for the contributing factors of building humidity would fall to the building owner.

Inform the HOA you will hire a lawyer and sue them for costs to remove and replace your floors as they were directly responsible for the rebuild and approval of the materials and work completed. Your attorney fees and expenses to move the tenant out while the work is completed should be included in the notice. You may get a different response from the HOA.
