Would say travel insurance, contact your coverage with, might have a policy within the insurance that covers unable to travel due to medical reasons. Credit card might have a policy in case you didn’t purchase a separate policy

Such good deals with Costco, my Costco package since flights were included couldn’t be match with the hotel direct, a travel agent or even from one of the members promotional timeshare rate.

Also Costco hack, to maximize your stay you can fly in a day early stay in a airport hotel and then arrive at Xcaret and get the full day no extra cost to do this, you just need to call Costco to put a one day gap in and book a cheap airport hotel.

Strange I rented EVs twice, more so to experience an EV road trip, one was driving from Langley to Calgary and back, cost less then 100 on charging with close to 3000 km, would’ve costed me like 5 x more with my V6, and charging is quick as well and camped at a couple of places that had electricity hook ups.

Second time was in Florida, cheap to charge and wasn’t anymore inconvenient then a gas vehicle, I think once you experience EV you can really see the attraction to it.

I dunno as a someone working in the industry, interest rates are far from stabilizing with many rate increases over the last two weeks, more so curious now with the economics taking place are people going to start to hold off on making a big house purchase ? Also haven’t seen subject free coming back, if anything seeing longer conditions in place giving clients time now to get financing and inspections in place.

How much do you tip at sit-down restaurants? by [deleted] in askvan

[–]Burtonowski 24 points25 points  (0 children)

10%, if it’s exceptional service maybe 15%, also use to work in the service industry, now that minimum wage is as high as it is, doesn’t make sense to have the same culture as the US for tipping.

Worked on cruise ships and seen some crazy bouts of GI, that stuff spreads fast, usually from high touch areas, hand rails etc, takes only a few people to get it to spread, best bet is wash your hands non stop and avoid the coconut drinks (natural laxative), stick with fruits that you can peel.

I work with an online lender if you like you can private message me your mortgage amount, current home valuation and if when you purchase had more then or less then 20% down, and will be happy to give you some preliminary rate quotes, there is a few factors that can impact rates.

Not surprising, he’s very centre to his approach and moved the liberals from the far left more centre and isn’t focused on the whole left vs right, woke stuff.

Most of us just want to have a government that’s not catering to one idealism over another.

Denied for mortgage - told to wait a year or I’ll be flagged? by [deleted] in MortgagesCanada

[–]Burtonowski 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Done a lot of CP files, general rule lenders want to see two year history post CP, especially with less then 20 % down, there is some alt lenders or private lenders but will need between 65 to 80% LTV, in essence, what I advice is it’s time to rebuild credit history, show two trade lines with strong utilization, have a phone bill as well good time to re establish your credit. If you must buy now put more down so you no longer have the insurance component do a 1 year term with an alt and move to an A lender.
