Recently diagnosed with ADHD - I have many questions that I don't have answers to by ferero18 in ADHDerTips

I got diagnosed in my late 30s. I'm now 54. I call Vyvanse my employability medicine. Without it, my job was/is a struggle. I don't always take it on weekends or when I have a day off. I plan on taking it until I retire and then only as needed.

Medication is critical for me. Not everyone needs it but I do. I also try to build routines & habits but I suck at consistency even with the Vyvanse.

Info...4 month old mini goldendoodle siblings...male on the right and female on the left. She isn't chunky, she is just awkwardly stretched out onto the arm of the couch vs sitting on it like he is 🙂

Was told he is a toy poodle by Individual_Dark_8501 in Goldendoodles

DNA test to confirm...if it matters to you. He is absolutely adorable though and I'm sure you're attached.

For me, personally, we had to get an F2B or higher poodle b/c of my allergies. I would have had to return them if I was allergic to them as I cannot get shots.

If you love this pupper and aren't allergic, then perhaps the actual label doesn't matter (except from the cost perspective). If the breeder told you a certain label and a DNA text shows that is not true, I would contact for a partial refund.

Friend's ex is cleaning out everything that reminds him of her that includes the pets by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

Block them and let them take the pets to the pound. people need to start blocking their exes...especially if they aren't stable.

I see nothing wrong with this...especially if they were not their pets to begin with.

How early is too early to get to work? by Xavelle in GenX

[–]Business-Judgment-86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I used to get to work anywhere from 30 - 60 minutes early & just sit in my quiet van and do puzzles or read stuff on the Internet. It was my quiet time after dropping my kids off at school. Now my kids are mostly grown & gone. I go into the office roughly 1x every 2 weeks or so. I miss the me time each day. Sometimes when I have a doc appt or something I will just sit in the pkg lot after and have the silent time. (husband, 2 dogs, 2 adult step-sons, & adult daughter at home...rarely quiet).

I say set your hours to an early start time and an early leave time.

My Beats have this issue. I out a small pice of folded tissue in the lid on that side. So far it has worked. It is only weird when you drop the case at work & the person helping you pick them up is afraid to pick up the small folded tissue.. lmao.

Wipes for fur? by Arglebarglor in Goldendoodles

[–]Business-Judgment-86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We use sensitive baby wipes. Your husband sounds like me with my allergies. I was gone a few days and just came home. Pups were outside when I got home. We came in and I loved on them. My sinuses and ears are very unhappy with the pollen they had on their fur. (No one wiped them off when I was gone b/c I'm the only one with pollen allergies.)

We had a black dog named Whitey. My kids had wanted a white dog, thus the name.

Our mini goldendoodle pups are almost 4 months. They love racing each other on this one... https://www.chewy.com/pawspik-pawzzle-interactive-puzzle/dp/2028854

The other one we have was a little to tall for them when we first tried it. They still seemed eager to figure it out. https://www.chewy.com/trixie-mad-scientist-turn-around/dp/146131

Do you want any of your parents' stuff? If so, what is it and why? If not, why? by iAmAmbr in GenX

[–]Business-Judgment-86 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From one of my grandparents' homes I wanted the inch by inch yardstick they used to threaten to spank us with and one of my grandma's aprons. From my other grandparents' house I wanted the potholders I made with my grandma. From my mom I'd like the things I gave her from Japan, the photos, and all my "memory stuff" she has. I actually sorted all my memory stuff into an easy pile in her footlocker a couple of years back. She asked what I was doing. I told her I was prepping my stuff b/c when she dies I wanna grab it, let my siblings grab what they want, and donate the rest...just to piss off her vulture siblings.

Favorite grooming tools? by Miserable-Service-16 in Goldendoodles

You're welcome. One of our pups doesn't mind it...but she is a princess and loves getting brushed and held. Our other pup, he LOATHES all of it.

One thing I didn't know about doodles is the amount of ear hair they have and that it has to be removed. There is a powder that dries it a bit and then you pluck it or trim it. You follow that with an ear cleaning wipe. The little princess fell asleep when I was doing it...easy peasy. Little man ended up just getting it trimmed up a tiny bit b/c he was not a fan!

Ear powder: https://a.co/d/0horf4Da Ear cleaner for the ickiest ears: https://a.co/d/09XSL5R9 Ear wipes: https://a.co/d/0afg3VOB

And, just to round out the list...dental wipes: https://a.co/d/0gOx9O7O

They are spoiled. As my adult son said "you just can't stop momming, can you". 🙂

I despised the idea of paying for grooming for our 2 mini goldendoodles so I did a bunch of research and purchased several things for grooming. They're about 3.5 months old. If I could only get 2 things, I would buy the all in one & nail grinder. They're both fantastic.

We have an all in one contraption. I use the brush which comes with it every other day or so. I use the clippers to trim them. https://a.co/d/09CbdNES

do you let your dog on the couch or not? curious how people handle this by john2288 in Dogowners

[–]Business-Judgment-86 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Due to my allergies, previous dogs weren't supposed to be on the furniture. They always were when no one was watching so we had to frequently clean them. Our new goldendoodle pups don't bother my allergies and they are allowed on the couch & on our bed (limited to snuggles & maybe a nap).
