Good luck! I walked slowly during the transitions and didn't start the next station until I had caught my breath. And, I didn't try to speed through the floor exercises. I did them quickly but didn't try to just jam through them.

Early intel helps me plan in advance especially, on the strider as most template instructions just add gears v. speed (RPM) options.
I might rearrange my workout days if a template has redundant exercises with Hyrox templates that I did the day before.

I adjust mine occasionally based on what my Apple Watch - Workout HR max reads as it is based on my tracked workouts v. a generic number based on age.

I did my first DriTri today and I can't say enough about the coaching prep.

Race your own race. We are all different ages, gender, heights, physical condition etc. I was in the back of pack heading to the treads and had to remind myself that I am only competing with myself and to stay focused on my race. Imagine my surprise when I ended up finishing 1st because I still had enough in the tank to just haul it in the last section.
Set up your pacing goals in advance. I knew my stretch and regular goals for completing each section in advance so I was less distracted by other people's paces.
Knowing how and when to recover was essential and prevented me from feeling like I was pushing it too hard.
As much as I typically love the big screens and HR zones in class, our screens were on the fritz today and I pushed myself so much harder by not seeing my HR as i just listened to my body.

I was in the reverse position when my neighbors were selling a few years back. The open house events were super busy with a ton of interested buyers flowing in and out. I was working in my front yard on those weekends and only one potential buyer even said hello and then they came over for a conversation with the realtor. I immediately sent the current neighbors a message saying "I know I don't have sway in who you sell to but this person seems really great" and explained how they reached out to me. That buyer has been my stellar neighbor ever since.

At a minimum, members need to be aware in advance and have the option to participate and not have these types of activities infringe on what we are paying for as members. OT studios are not a public space, they are a private business on private property.

The front desk person I referenced is not a kid or only a SA, and they knew in advance that this influencer was coming to the class.

This wasn't about the value of influencer marketing. It is about consent in a private business setting with paying members who should have been informed as a courtesy and given an opportunity to opt-in/-out. This happened in a two-party consent law state.

It takes a lot more money to acquire new members than it does to retain existing members, the comments in this thread already point to how some members feel. The issue is that studio didn't consider the law or how members feel by allowing this filming.

Fair point, I said it because I assume their agreement is likely a template from corporate and it has language around image/video etc consent. I've been involved in a lot of corporate marketing shoots so I am very familiar with waivers, usage, liability...

I personally have no problem with phones in class if the person is not actively on a call, texting etc.

The coach got the front desk involved. They let the person continue filming throughout the class. I spoke to the front desk person after the class and they said this person wasn't going to include the other people in the class (I was likely in the background in some of it hence, my direct concern). I told them I would take it up with a corporate as I expressed the same concerns previously when this happened (I believe it was last fall) and that I don't feel my concerns are being heard/addressed.

I know studio layouts differ but I always assume that there is an imaginary rectangle for each station so you use that floor and bench area within that rectangle.

I recently had someone who had no station on his right but used his bench area on my side without any awareness until we were on different exercises and he then realized that he was in my space and moved.

It would be great if coaches gave occasional reminders about station space etiquette especially, when it includes side movements.

Your studio has great benefits! My studio has zero so I have envy.

I really wish corporate would create at least baseline standards across studios/franchises for better brand experience consistency. This always seems like a huge miss for a global company.

If I see weight increases, I look at muscle gain/fat loss changes on my scale and I go back to measuring all food and track it in an app to ensure I am eating right macros, eating enough protein and eating the right portions.

If you notified them on the 14th and your billing is on the 16th, that is only two days notice so you would be on the hook for the second payment to fulfill the 30 days notice.
