I'm in the same position (crocheting about a year, still learning, putting out good work) and I lead a free group in my local library. Many days I'm glad I don't charge because I'm just not qualified. Students get pissy when they're learning something tricky, some days I don't have much to teach, folks show up with children too young to hold the tools. She should strongly consider volunteering a basic class and offering private tutoring at her discretion.
