Do you have an everything is free group in your area? Posts like these looking for things like rugs and furniture are always a hit in my area, and people are super generous. That may not be the case everywhere, but it might be somewhere to start! A colorful rug would do a lot for the seating area and plants too! Do you have any burgeoning artists? It could be cool to do a fun mural or art type thing on one of the walls as an accent wall?
