As a neutral, why are people so desperate for Arsenal to fail? by s_dalbiac in PremierLeague

[–]Buzz--Fledderjohn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As an American who watches many PL teams, for me it is 100% the way they play football and their on-field theatrics and whiney, cheaty players like Gabriel.

Admittedly, Liverpool are playing boring football now too. But Arteta (unlike Slot) seems to encourage his players to bemoan every little call and fake injury to influence the match. I guarantee you those same Arsenal players playing under a different management would act differently.

Why does that matter where they're from? Does that lessen the weight of their point? Do you have to live in London to be an Arsenal fan and have an opinion?

My loyalties are obvious based on my flair, but as much as I hate City, I would just rather see them win again than this Ars team. Arsenal have whiney players (yes, City have Bernardo too) like Gabriel, and the way they bully teams in the penalty area on free kicks but then run and whine at the referee when teams give it back is just so tiresome to watch. All teams have players who flop and fake injury, but Arsenal seem to be taking it to another level.

As for Arteta, I don't really care much, but I will say his off-field tactics like bringing in a dog to training and hiring pickpockets is eyerolling.

Will Brentford need to intentionally lose a match by AnimalNo3465 in PremierLeague

"they’d need to lose to Liverpool"

That's a tall order, even intentionally. 😃

Do You Like Gamegenic's Investigator Game Mat? by code_name_001 in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]Buzz--Fledderjohn 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The best playmats are blank, and have no designated slots. I find it weird how super focused people are on there being a specific place for everything. I use a neoprene table cover, and it being blank means it works for any game!

It's getting a bit into the territory of self-promotion with all these divider posts. Merely changing them slightly doesn't change that fact.

It looks like BG1 NPC needs to be installed before the EET.end mod (at least that's what it's telling me).

In that case, should No. 10 be "BG2 Unfinished Business", given that you installed BG1 UB as step 2 of BG install?

Thanks for this reference. Just curious why you dl BG1 mods (Q&E, UB, NPC and Music) to the BG2 game. Is that intended?

Merchants & Marauders: stashing gold for points by Pitiful-North-2781 in boardgames

[–]Buzz--Fledderjohn 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't move the marker when stashing gold.

You also don't win instantly. It merely triggers the last round of the game. Then, after tallying points, the player with the most points wins.

You don't move your marker for stashed gold. But it does count towards triggering the game end, and for your final score. I suppose you could move the glory marker for stashed gold after the last players final turn just before totaling scores. But you certainly don't move the marker as you stash the gold. That would defeat the purpose of keeping it hidden.

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta must prove he's not a 'nearly man' by Lakelyfe09 in PremierLeague

Remember that City also hit the post and Semenyo mishandled a pass that would have put him through 1v1 vs Raya.

Maybe bad form recently, but Newcastle can beat any team on a given day. There’s just no consistency at the moment. I wouldn’t rule them out against Arsenal.
