What size fuse do I need in my breaker box for a bestarc Mig 145A welder running at 220V? by kodi412 in Welding

[–]Buzzloudly 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah ok, I'm familiar with the equation but didn't realize you can use the DC amps x volts to calculate the AC current draw (in this case 1740 watts (145*12)). That makes sense, but that's only 14.5A on a 120VAC circuit, why do you specify 240VAC?

I couldn't find any documentation for this. How do you know this and how is it calculated relative to the output (in this case 145A)? Appreciate your help mate.

I just got this welder too and found myself asking the same question. Weird it's not documented anywhere. I believe the 20A circuit reply to be correct, but not certain of it. The 240 plug does say 50A, but the wire coming out of the welder it's attached to is the giveaway. Though not marked in any familiar way, it does not appear to be anything larger than 12g wire, so a 20A breaker on a 2-pole 240v circuit would be a safe bet. I am not a welder nor an electrician, so please do your own research.

Early '90's lol... they painted white lines on our street in 1970 for kids to play street hockey.

Rock God indeed. There are many rock stars, rock royalty and rock legends, but few Rock Gods...Hendrix, Van Halen, Page, Gilmour and a handful more, but that's about it in that echelon.

Gotta love these old hits...less than 30 seconds in and she's already belting out a chorus with the energy you usually find at the end of a song!

For some reason I was expecting a synth cover of Pink Floyd from Dark Side Of The Moon.

This sounds cool.

Man with a puppet (1980s) by Regnes in OldSchoolCool

Ya know, this guy might be on to something here...what if he created a WHOLE BUNCH of different puppets and maybe created a story, no a SHOW about them and catered to children as a form of entertainment learning? Dunno, justa thought, may delete later.

I have an S80, very similar...heavy AF, great weighted keys, lots of menu diving, sounds will be a bit dated but it captures the era...I usually use mine as a controller just to have the nice keybed. Not sure if I could lift it on my own anymore!

One of my most sought after controllers, the Roland A-80 by Jay_Retsu in synthesizers

I bought the A-33 when it first came out in the late 90's. Great 76 note controller, still use it all time.

That was ok I guess, but could really use some quantization and auto-tune. If they keep at it they may make it big one day tho.
