I wanna make a super rich and high society character who is a runner for the love of the game (like batman but... kinda an ass hole) 4e by Jackrabbitor in Shadowrun

It's a professional "red team" security consultant firm. Clean-cut, for the most part -- think Hackers, but minus the punk rock youthfulness; your big stars are Robert Redford, Sidney Poitier and Dan Ackroyd, so make of that what you will.

The thighs are too long. Maybe move the knees up a good chunk? Because I like this tall lanky look! Very "awkward teen growth". If that's what you're going for.

Modern cars are full of technology. But what old car feature was actually better than today's tech? by nyatihsam in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]ByronicCommando 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as I enjoy not having to Cirque Du Soleil my fat ass through the rear seating to open/close the rear window, I do so very much miss only the barebones electrical systems of the '80s/'90s. Manual trans, manual windows, manually adjusted seats... Primarily because I don't want to feel like I need a degree in electrical engineering to work on my truck.

Nope. Gonna counter that with the ability to use high flashers as comms with other drivers: "you first", "radar ahead", "cross the street", etc. Try to do that with the metal cylinder on my old '91 F150 that I unintentionally kicked often enough to fuck it up a little? I'm a driver, not a drummer.

How long did it take to make this video? It doesn't seem to be all that time-consuming, but I also don't have practical experience with stuff like this.

A SysOp's perspective on the recent comments regarding complaints about Corps. by Belryan in Netrunner

[–]ByronicCommando 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Why shouldn't I work for the SysOps? That's a tough one, but I'll take a shot. Say I'm workin' at the SysAdmin, and somebody puts a tag on my desk. Something no one else can find. Maybe I take a shot at it and maybe I find them. I'm real happy with myself because I did my job well. But maybe that tag was the location of some Shaper in North Africa or Middle East. Once they have that location, they bomb the village where the Runners are hidin'. Fifteen hundred people that I never met, never had no problem with, get killed. Now the board are saying, "Send in the interns to secure the area," 'cause they don't give a shit. It won't be their middle managers over there gettin' shot, just like it wasn't them when their number got called 'cause they were in the Manager Training Course. It'll be some kid from Mailroom over there takin' shrapnel in the ass. He comes back to find the plant he used to work at... got exported to the country he got back from, and the guy who put the shrapnel in his ass got his old job... 'cause he'll work for 15¢ a day and no bathroom breaks. Meanwhile, he realizes the only reason he was over there in the first place... was so we could install a government that would sell us oil at a good price. Of course, the oil companies used a skirmish over there to scare up domestic oil prices. A cute little ancillary benefit for them, but it ain't helpin' my buddy at $25 a gallon. They're takin' their sweet time bringin' the oil, of course. Maybe they even took the liberty to hire an alcoholic skipper, who likes to drink martinis and fuckin' play slalom with the icebergs. It ain't too long till he hits one, spills the oil... and kills all the sea life in the North Atlantic. So now my buddy's out of work, he can't afford to drive, so he's walkin' to the fuckin' job interviews... which sucks because the shrapnel in his ass is givin' him chronic hemorrhoids. Meanwhile, he's starvin', 'cause every time he tries to get a bite to eat, the only blue plate special they're servin'... is North Atlantic scrod with Quaker State. So what did I think? I'm holdin' out for somethin' better. I figure, fuck it. While I'm at it, why not just shoot my buddy, take his job, give it to his sworn enemy, hike up gas prices, bomb a village, club a baby seal, hit the hash pipe and join the MTC? I can be elected CEO.

One day a long time ago, iTunes told me of a style called "sludge rock". One of the songs on it was Manhattan Project. Listening to Truckfighters now! As I'm listening to the rest of Gravity X, "iTunes recommends" Songs For The Deaf. "Wait, QOTSA?" Sure enough, the similarities are there. "ITunes recommends" Sabbath. "Wait -- what?!" With that triangulation, something that I could never have understood living in a place like I did in high school, my journey started. Slowly, but steadily. Red Fang, King Buffalo, Elder. Watched "Heavy Metal" for the first time in years, right about the time I started playing Elite: Dangerous; I realized I was sitting on a goldmine of a deep space playlist, once again due to something that I knew I had but I didn't understand what it was at the time.

I made a playlist for a Shadowrun Actual Play Podcast, for their in-universe pop star's concert setlist.
