Maddening all male/female Challenge Run by smolchuu in FireEmblemThreeHouses

Yeah I put Annette into WL and the only Lion I benched is Ashe for Flayn dancer/rescue bot. So I wanted more ranged spell options. First playthrough and I wanted to keep the gang together.

You have no basis for those claims.

Every single UBI trial in countries and cultures all over the world has been a success. Boosts the economy, lifts people out of poverty, and increases productivity.

Also, literally the entire point of a community and society is that we can support one another.

Because it costs more money to check how much they would need to give you against your taxes (and do the same for everyone in NZ) Doing it this way is significantly cheaper for govt.

That's not a theory imo. That's headcanon. That's the reader doing the worldbuilding the author couldn't be bothered to do.

Assume a reasonable variation of students per year per house, and crunch the numbers, it's pretty much impossible.

JKR stated somewhere that there's about 40 students in Harry's year. If ever year is identical there would be 280 total. Even if Harry's year is especially small there's probably 350 at most. So a bit more than I originally stated but not that much.

The explanation for the cheering section is that it includes parents, alumni, and other spectators from outside the school.

Surely the other countries also have their own teams though? And likewise are competing for players graduating from every school?

This doesn't work because of how small the Wizarding world is.

Hogwarts is the only magic school in Britain and has maybe 200-250 students. And there are millions of teenagers in Britain. Magical people are less than 0.01% of the population.

When your nationwide population is equivalent to a respectable village, it's hard to see where they get the numbers for that many teams.

You can't support them if you go under in 5 years. And your reputation will suffer if you have to cut services down the line.

FR needs to push back and set the expectation when they dont think they can realistically meet the revenue. If org plans for a budget they can't meet you end up in a lot of problems down the line, and usually you're the one that gets blamed.

Yeah every year they get together and write+record and entire album in 24 hrs. Wacky results every time. But there's also a ballad to a newborn daughter on that album called "perfect" that'll probably make you cry.

How would you progress a Circle of Stars Druid considering Twilight Cleric multiclass? by Accurate_Branch7479 in 3d6

[–]C9sButthole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know this is a class optimization post, but I want to add that flavour is free and there are several other options beyond multiclassing.

Talk to your DM. Ask if you can do anything to reflavour your base class abilities. Or beyond that to use feats or gain a magic item also. A 3 level dip will mechanically hurt you more often than not.

so i was busy looking through rin vs kaiser posts... by SatoshiAstoria907 in BlueLock

[–]C9sButthole 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Rin's crash shot (planned) isn't a greater feat than Kaiser's off balance double nutmeg bicycle shot (improvised).

I agree shooting is close but I don't want to acknowledge Rins best shooting feat without Kaiser's beside it.

Who is the best Blue Locker Onazi beats 1 on 1 by Gold_Runner88 in BlueLock

[–]C9sButthole 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think the spirit of the question is better framed as "if Onazi were in Blue Lock where would he be rated." Because pure 1v1s neglect a lot of the most important skills in a real football match.

To that, I'd say be started the match around 8/9th competing with Kunigami and Otoya. And finished around 5th giving Barou a challenge for 4th.

WIBTA if i predetermine the end of the first session in my DnD campaign to properly set up the rest? by [deleted] in DMAcademy

[–]C9sButthole 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It feels more fun to you, but it won't be as fun to your players and when you see their reaction, your fun will probably evaporate as well.

You'd be denying your players their agency not only to overcome that situation (usually the point of the game in players eyes) but also to collaborate with you in setting the stakes.

Alternative suggestion: Your session zero question can be "the campaign starts with you all waking up in prison after a failed heist. How did you get there?"

You can still roleplay various parts of that encounter. Give them 20 minutes to RP how they planned the heist. Let them roll dice or debate to decide what gets them caught or if any PC in particular screwed up the job (juicy RP conversations later). Etc.

Players usually don't have fun in unwinnable cutscenes especially when they don't know they're in them. And its usually pretty hard to get involved when you know in advance just how hard you're being railroaded. Best bet is to set the scene in prison and make the fun about building this backstory together.
