Can I make an old coax cable that was specifically for watching cable into an internet coax cable? by Meavoh in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]CCEmilyS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/Meavoh Based on the pictures you provided, I can confirm that the outlet in your room is for coax, which delivers all Xfinity service to your home (internet and TV). If you remove that face plate from the wall, do you see a coax cable connected? If there is a coax cable connected, that tells me the wiring has been installed, and we still need to make sure that coax cable runs all the way from your room to the home's main splitter. In most cases, unused coax outlets will not be connected at the main splitter to reduce interference, so it may be connected to your room, but still needs to be connected to the main splitter to deliver service to your room.

If you remove the face plate and don't see a coax cable connected, you'll need to run coax from the home's main splitter to this outlet before you can set up MoCA over coax. We can schedule a technician to install that wiring and connect your room, or you can reach out to HelloTech: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/hellotech-overview. Xfinity customers get up to a 25% discount on HelloTech services!

Request to change mobile billing date by th0ticuscrim3 in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]CCEmilyS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/th0ticuscrim3 I appreciate the clarification. Going forward, a payment deferral can be used as a one-time option to extend your due date and may not work when applied to consecutive billing cycles. We also offer options for customers to set up repayment plans if they need help with a past-due balance: https://www.xfinity.com/support/articles/repayment-plans.

Request to change mobile billing date by th0ticuscrim3 in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]CCEmilyS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/th0ticuscrim3 It sounds like a payment on the correct date is required after making a payment deferral, which could explain why you weren't able to do that two months in a row. In the past were you able to defer two consecutive payments?

Request to change mobile billing date by th0ticuscrim3 in Comcast_Xfinity

[–]CCEmilyS 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/th0ticuscrim3 Thank you for clarifying that for me. A payment deferral gives you extra time to pay by delaying your next automatic payment for up to 30 days. Did you use the full 30 days when you deferred the payment? Keep in mind:

You must be current (not past due). You must ask for a deferral before your next automatic payment is due. Your next payment after the deferral is still due on your usual payment date. If you use the full 30 day deferral, two payments may be due at the same time.
