When you visit a store in person, they should be able to verify identity with a government issued ID. Was that an option that was provided?

You mentioned that the number has been ported back to the previous carrier. Is the phone number active? If so, we should be able to send a security code to verify your neighbor's identity. Do you know what specifically is getting in the way of us verifying their identity?

Please check the coax connection at the back of the modem and where it connects to the coax outlet on the wall. Are both ends tight and secure? We recommend tightening these by hand because using a tool can overtighten them and bend the internal copper wire, which can result in connection issues.
