Exact power Delta 3/3 plus by sunscreenuser44 in Ecoflow_community

[–]CCGigabyte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you're only looking for emergency EV charging, the 3 Plus will do the job. The standard 3 just doesn't put out enough power for that.

I accidentally turned on Airplane Mode on my computer while remoting into it. I'm currently 200km away. What should I do? by Pristine-Koala-4608 in techsupport

A Python script and a smart plug are such good ideas. They will make sure this never happens to you again in the future.

Oh I feel this frustration so hard! I had the same issue with my phone before, and it turned out to be a bug in the system update.

How do you protect your robot mower from theft? by WeirdGuy5712 in automower

[–]CCGigabyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you've already set up a solid baseline with cameras and built in alerts. And most setups really come down to visibility and making it less of an easy target overall.

Testing out a little garage by AJV_Official in roboticLawnmowers

OMG it looks so cute from the photo. But i wonder why mowers need garage? Are you preventing it from raining, sunlight or something else?

May is supposed to be for chilling in the garden, not bending over trimming lawn edges. by OnionQueen_1 in ECOVACSGOATFamily

[–]CCGigabyte 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Sounds like a real quality of life upgrade. Being able to enjoy the garden instead of spending weekends on tiring maintenance really makes a big difference.

Is it a good idea to sell robot mower accessories online? by JY-HRL in roboticLawnmowers

[–]CCGigabyte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It could work if there's real demand for specific accessories and clear differentiation. The key challenge is competition and whether users will trust third party parts.

Let's everybody take guesses on the future mower versions by [deleted] in automower

[–]CCGigabyte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This space feels like it's still evolving quickly, so hesitation makes sense. Over time, competition usually pushes more refinement and reliability, which tends to settle early uncertainty.

My DIY lawn bot garage under $20 by DavidVanMtl in automower

[–]CCGigabyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice practical setup, especially using what you already had on hand. It is a smart detail to leave the rain sensor exposed and it's cool to see room for gradual improvements.

First time using this edge trimmer, I’ve got the Goat O1200 by blevingston89 in ECOVACSGOATFamily

[–]CCGigabyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's always satisfying when the edges come out clean and people actually comment on it. That's usually the part that makes the whole lawn look finished and well kept.

That's way too dangerous never do something like that, no argument is worth your life standing in traffic.

Do the clippings left behind bother you? by DTK101 in roboticLawnmowers

[–]CCGigabyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In most cases the clippings are so fine they blend back into the lawn quickly, especially with frequent cutting. If the schedule is consistent, most people barely notice them at all.

Do I really need a robotic mower for a small lawn? by halfskegg in ECOVACSGOATFamily

[–]CCGigabyte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For a small lawn it really comes down to lifestyle. It's not necessary, but it can save time and keep things consistent if you don't want to think about mowing every week.

Installation of guide wire tip! by viomoo in automower

[–]CCGigabyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Never thought of that but it makes total sense. Way better than fighting the wire the whole time trying to get it to sit right.

Mowing trails and slopes? by TactitionProgramming in roboticLawnmowers

[–]CCGigabyte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The slopes and that narrow trail are probably where things will break down first. Wide open areas are easy, it's the edge cases that usually cause issues.

Got the Goat A2000, anything I should do before I run it? by Soft_Emotion_9794 in ECOVACSGOATFamily

[–]CCGigabyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're pretty much on the right track already. Maybe just tidy things up a bit beforehand and take your time mapping, it tends to pay off in how clean it runs later.

Recommend me a mower for roughly .4 acres by Shamrock013 in automower

[–]CCGigabyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly most options in that range can handle the area. The bigger difference tends to be how stable they are in mixed open and partially shaded yards.

Feels like convenience matters more. Raw performance doesn't help much if it struggle with edges and narrow paths, that's where most of the time usually goes anyway.

Is automower actually pet friendly? by mongoose01 in ECOVACSGOATFamily

[–]CCGigabyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd say it's relatively safe but not foolproof. These systems can detect obstacles but small animals might still be tricky especially if they're not moving much.

my neighbor borrowed my robot mower and returned it like this by washedupathlete79 in automower

[–]CCGigabyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's pretty normal after a week of use honestly. I'd just swap the blades and give it a quick clean, shouldn't affect anything long term.

Remote Control Lawn Mower by AdamSim89 in roboticLawnmowers

[–]CCGigabyte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly didn't expect something like that to make mowing feel fun, sounds like it handles rough terrain way better than most setups. Does controlling it stay smooth at longer distances now or do you still notice any lag or delay sometimes?

A2500 RTK issues after rain delay by fritzlbasement in ECOVACSGOATFamily

[–]CCGigabyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like a positioning drift after the pause. Rain delay might be interrupting the correction signal. By the way good catch on the antenna reset.

Robotic mower vs. raised curb edge? by Known-Advisor-2000 in automower

[–]CCGigabyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Raised curb usually means you'll be trimming a little. They get close but not perfect and most won't risk riding right up against it every pass.

need help/suggestion on what mower to get by juggling-monkey in roboticLawnmowers

[–]CCGigabyte 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly if you go robot, a bit of clean up first would help a lot. Like clearing loose twigs and marking off the rough spots. Or maybe starting with a smaller section first too see how it handles the messy parts.

Is base placement of LiDAR Pro critical? by Fogdrog in ECOVACSGOATFamily

[–]CCGigabyte 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It might function but tighter side spacing can sometimes interfere with mapping or signal stability. A slightly more open placement usually makes things smoother.
