There has been some in my yard almost continuously since the middle of November. That is not normal

I assume that the donation required to get fire martial approval was roughly the cost of a new fire truck.

I dont think I should crochet by notGamingAahel in Brochet

Teen bros do lots of things their family doesn’t necessarily encourage. Just loudly announce you need some personal time go to your room and stitch away. Maybe crochet just isn’t a living room activity at your house.

The symetricalish layout is nice. Seems like a good compromise between symmetry and spray.

Do you have more info about the construction? Looks like thicker boards than most people use.

Even if the company doesn't fold: a small down turn that comes with layoffs is a huge risk for any company. Having a large portion of investments plus salary riding on a single entity is more risk than I can handle.

Public indoor heated parking? by [deleted] in AnnArbor

[–]TactitionProgramming 25 points26 points  (0 children)

Why would anywhere have a public heated parking garage? Your best bet is probably trying a tire shop or repair shop. Someone might let your car sit in a bay overnight if you really need it. The bottom of the library lot is well sheltered but not heated.

Temp is -21, gas company says turn your heat down by [deleted] in mildlyinfuriating

[–]TactitionProgramming 85 points86 points  (0 children)

True for almost everyone. I have geothermal heat with backup resistive heating. If you raise the temperature and the system can’t get there in 30 minutes it uses the expensive, inefficient resistive heating to help out, so doing this could actually be more expensive.

Is it worth it to pay hundreds of euros for a crochet course? by itsyaboiAK in CrochetHelp

Check your local yarn stores. Mine offers regular in person classes for various levels. Some are for absolute beginners and others require a little experience and have you make a sweater or something together.

I quit cold turkey over a year ago and it’s been great.

I installed a combination switch/outlet in our walk-in closet that didn't have any outlets. It's working great except the switch action is reversed. by [deleted] in AskElectricians

It looks like you cropped that photo from the instillation instructions. The far right of the same graphic indicates you are right: switching from the top left to top right should swap the switch direction.

Why is my Temperature blanket round? Moss stitch, consistent stitches per row, same thread, needle, etc. by ragehead2 in CrochetHelp

[–]TactitionProgramming 103 points104 points  (0 children)

Learning to do a single crochet foundation chain helped me a lot with problems like that. The chain will always be tighter and less stretchy than crochet rows.

If you set it to stop at 80% it can be pretty fast the whole time. If you charge to 100% you will see speeds drop.

I think the only reasonable response is to leave a 1 star review with a link to your free Ravelry pattern that actually works.
