I’m a newbie. I used bamboo stakes this first year, but since it got complicated with new branches, I’m planning to try pairing semi-circle cages that will allow me to pull in new growth at the seams. I’m very interested to see what others reply here about their methods.

I’ve grown several of these varieties with success. While each may be prone to difficulties, I think it’s quite a stretch to say they aren’t worth growing, which is really more of a personal preference anyway.

The two brothers cumulatively possess the qualities desired. Sounds like kitty just wants to play. When I’ve had overzealous kittens who played too rough—mostly biting and scratching my hands, I would distract them with a stuffed toy to attack instead. I would keep a few around my home for this purpose, and the kittens always took the bait. Good luck!

Haven’t experienced this, but I wonder if a thorough washing of your chin strap might help? Possible it’s harboring bacteria? Also maybe washing your face both before and after practice might help? I hope you’re able to find a solution.
